We'll you said what you do and what you try to do, but when someone ask anyone anything here you never input your two cent of experience EVEN if it is already answered. I even tried to silence myself and prove me wrong by researching all your past posts and your past contributions to all threads but I rarely find your 25 years of knowledge come to play.

because that is the thread that lead to this one. to me it illustrates how this bann a guy came to play..and reps attempt to get the guy banned. if you will notice i never saw the porn.....but i immediatly figured it came from reps post. as it did... as fred figured it would also....as threads continue they get muddled is it pointless to point to a empty gas can next to a burned house as the probible cause? then rep says bann him!!! i thought that was kinda like the pot calling the kettle black.

thats somewhat true....but like i said its 99% tech here. i have almost attempted to answer some tech questions but figured it was already answered well and my attempt would likley result in a bashing.....there is a thread about collecting on a car window? on here now....heres my bad answer to that one, if i saw her everyday at the donut shop next to my shop i would walk over and spray vinyl remover on it. now i dont think thats the answer the guy is looking for. also im sure many would say hey!! thats not legal thats not this thats not that. which would be true. but i dont play fair when it comes to money....and dam the conciquences i got bail money and a lawyer.

He's not banned forever. He's suspended for a week.

RB is liked by some and disliked by many. He brought all that garbage to Signs 101. It was disruptive, caused a lot of anger and cost me a lot of time. RB is banned because he refused to stop or even acknowledge he was a large part of the problem. His son is not banned and is free to post here as a regular member. Their merchant subscription was revoked and a refund was made.

We all do dumb things from time to time. Some around here do it more than others, but are usually just misunderstood.

Do you know how many members and citizens would be removed from this earth if we just used MOB rule such as this ??

  • Has anyone tried to show him his erred ways ??
  • Has anyone approached him by PM to discuss this ??
  • Has he been warned of such an action such as banning ??

I believe in the two [2] strike method. One warning…. and make sure that warning is FULLY understood. Next time…. OFF with your Head and begone with you !!

i saw this stupid post for what it was from the beginning.. bunch *ssholes jumping on a guy for doing nothing. he posted a pic much like the lame photo that started this by rep.. then the photo changed because it was hotlinked.. if my peers are the guys that jumped on the band wagon to bann kr then i dont want to get along with them.

I do have to say...

I have administered a couple internet forums over the years and also host a few customer accounts on my web server... so I am quite familiar with people hotlinking to images.

I have, as a server admin, been known to "swap" the hot linked image with a different one of the same name as a way of telling the offending hotlinker that I do not appreciate the theft of my server bandwidth. I nere plugged in a porno one, but I guess it depends on how much the host didn;t like the hotlinker!

I almost always hotlink my images since it is MY server and I think I am doing Fred a favor by using MY bandwidth for the images instead of his.

Usually it is the site hosting the images that hates the practice of hotlinking, NOT the site where the hot link is posted. The person hosting the image is the one paying for the bandwidth.
