In a pinch for short term you can use 3 in 1 Oil.
Use very lightly.

You dont want a grease that will harden up over time, or attract too much dust and debris.

I am having a similar issue. Just changed out my maintenance station (pump) and dampers. I had experienced ink starvation. Print test is horrible! I am soaking the heads hoping that it helps. Man, who has time to do this junk. This machine is down more than it's not. Just don't want to spend the $$ to buy a new one...this one is paid for! BUMMER.
