I will no longer be posting on Signs101, one of my drawings was censored this morning. After talking to Fred he said it was one of the other moderators. Some of you may think this is good news and others not but after giving it thought and being a 60's generation person, you cannot censor art in any form. Thank you for the pleasant time being here.

i hope you'll reconsider John... and maybe the moderator will too. but you've been here long enough to know this is NOT an uncensored site. you didn't leave earlier this week when our potty mouths were censored.

i believe in standing your ground... and here, the way you do that is to start a thread, and speak your mind. you came to the table knowing the rules. this isn't a public street... you're in someone else house and there are other guest here (most of which would probably agree with you).

you'd surely make your point better if you were here. i'm certainly curious about your drawing and in what sense the moderator felt it was somehow offensives or in what way it broke the rules.

John, I for one will miss your talent, your humor, and your insight! If I can take the heat, I know damn well you can. Don't let a few deprive the the rest of us from what you have to contribute.

Some walk out the door and slam it on the way out.
Some just walk out and let the door remain open.
Some just never return.
All are missed no matter how they left.

Goodbye John.

I am the one who DELETED your post and DRAWING and I stand by it..

Twice in this day alone I have had to remove questionable content from this site.
The other post was a exercise video thread that looked like a man masturbating, and at the end, doing the same with another man.

This is a Professional site for Sign Shop Professionals.
Not a Porn site or a child’s sandbox to see “What You Can Get Away With”.

Your hand drawn picture of a naked person bent over with a ear of corn shoved up his butt while roasting it over a open campfire is unacceptable here and Will Not Be Tolerated. ( Period ).

Enjoy the 60’s John and goodbye..

That explanation is as graphic as the drawing. If I were a moderator of the moderators, I would have deleted your post for its verbal graphic nature and gave you warning.

I missed it all but if the description is accurate and this was MY site, I would have deleted it too. Freedom of speech does not mean everyone is automatically granted a "right" to sh*t all over someone else's business and /or property. A little common sense goes a long way folks. Come on, it's not that hard really, is it???

This is not just some cheap open forum, it is someone's business and livelihood. It is what will be here when they are gone. They have every right to delete anything they want. It is not a govt-operated site where we the people should feel a need to protest freedom of speech. It's someone's business. Someone whom I for one think has all of our BEST interests at heart. Don't like it? go away, buh bye start your own site and see how it goes.

You all wanted to know...
Now you do..

i wanted to know... hell, i wanted to see it.
sounds like it was better suited to an NHB thread... oh wait, there is no NHB... well there ya go John... there's no place here for it.
i'm sure you won't be the first to get your hand slapped learning to dial-it-back a bit.

hey i do have a question though Brad... what are the rules for the After Hours "caution" thread?

Did they actually roast corn in this manner during the 60's? Sounds more dangerous than anything else. I'd think OSHA and the FDA would have a problem preparing corn in this fashion at a commercial establishment, especially in New Jersey. Certainly one way to remove unwanted hair though. Was the husk intact in the drawing?
