Go Bills!
We are supposedly all adults.

exactly the point.

i seen the cartoon - it was stupid, gross and childish.

so it was removed, move on.

i have received emails from bradster about breaking the rules.... you know what you do with them?

delete them and get back to work.

when you come back, and you will, you have a new name - JOHNNY DRAMA!!!!!

Nice.

I agree with most here. Get over it and come back. It's no big deal to work within the guidelines around here.

I must say, for the credit I will give to Johnny Drama for intelligence & wit, this boring melodrama cost him points... there's no street cred earned for tantrums & none for adolescent lavatorial humor... I give more credit for men who can face the weak reputation they created for themselves in an impulsive tantrum & build back a little class... ddarlak being a fine example, if I may say so... no disrespect intended...

on another note, I take serious issue with any use, in this thread, of the term "censorship" ...it may just be semantics, but where clearly stated rules are governing a community, "enforcement" of said rules simply is not censorship, and to imply otherwise is a clear indication of their ignorance of the facts of the matter...

...or it is simply another crybaby cheap shot from another poor whiner hoping to wish away reality...

NO WAIT! i found it. im guilty. man im a tool. i did send you ONE PM that was this on 2-27-2001

im so sorry fred. i guess i was wrong. my blatant and profuse single apology for my bad language clearly drove you over the edge.

i can CLEARLY see how my once apology 8 months ago would be exactly what you meant about the one time, yet in your eyes repeated offence.

then again perhaps on my old account from 2007 i repeatedly apologized for my indescretions. i dont know, i cant see those in my outbox.
You said it! And damn proud of it, I'd say.

Doesn't sound like "art" to me, Whatley is correct.
I wouldn't want to be Fred and put up with these children all the time.

Does one really need to claim everything they do as art the second it is censored?
Not being able to cuss bothers you? Can you not articulate well enough to vent your frustration is a way that wont offend the people who your asking sympathy from?
You came into this house knowing the rules, do not be mad when you get your hand caught in the cookie jar and get a smack for it.
I did not see the picture, but i trust the call to moderaters made to remove it.
If you are the type of catt who knows they are offensive and is constantly trying to get a rise out of other members then why not just leave? im sure there are other forums that would love to have you. Thats my 2 cents anyways.

So he left with his marbles , every one has still got theirs . The hey look at me I am leaving thing is a whole other story . The jerry falwell campari ad comes to mind not that it has anything to do with this tragedy at the sandbox . Won't be eating corn on the cob for awhile !

Ahhhh....I've always loved that excuse. That means that if I show up at your house, drop my drawers and crap on your front porch you can't stop me because the act is performance art and the final product is my creation.

John, I think you need to pull the corn cob out of your butt and get over it.

Pretty poor comparison Pat! I think you need to get over it. We are supposedly all adults.

OK, how about this analogy:

Signs 101 is Fred's Business. It's a large portion of how he makes his living and pays his bills (I think). How would you or any other shop owner like it if some of your friends or acquaintances came into your shop's lobby and started talking about porn, showing explicit pictures and swearing loudly all the time, while you are trying to make a sales pitch to several customers? Would you ask them to keep it quiet and under control? What if they refused to exercise any self-control? Would you just let them go on and on because of freedom of speech or would you eventually just throw them out. My guess is you wouldn't put up with it NEARLY as long as Fred has. And you wouldn't think of it as any kind of "censorship" at all but more like taking out the trash.

You all wanted to know...

Now you do..

Thanks Brad for the explanation. Way back when, I did the same thing when BigDog edited one of my political post and got pissed and left. Members must realize this is a forum and your constitutional rights are not protected here. As a member, read the fine print. All posts are subject to approval. Leave if you must, but it's not worth the information you will lose because you got your feelings hurt. Just saying...

What we have here appears to be a semi-large scale butt hurt to a few who have trouble playing well in someone else's [awesome] sandbox.

Seriously.. I didn't cry and make a freak out thread when my posts were being edited for vulgarity and I'm pretty sure it happens all the time.. and I've made swearing an art.

As hilarious, gross, and awesome as John is. His work is great. He is one of the better artist this site has. Though he jokes a lot, 90% of us do, he is always helpful. I agree with prowraps... I see a lot of cursing, and only his gets an edit. I guess it's the nature of the beast. I think Fred is a great admin....He does a great job, and only changes what he has to, and a lot of the time lets our threads wind out of control, and doesn't change a thing.

I have been a victim by one of the other admins before....as well....for no reason. Guess he was bored. I was then told i was new, and pretty much that i was insignificant...even when i feel i contribute to this site as best i can.... Some people can't handle power. it's a known fact.

come back john.

I agree 100% with this analogy and that's the way I view this forum. I feel privileged to be a part of this forum, as Fred didn't have to let me in to begin with. Just because it's on the internet, it doesn't mean it's a free-for-all. A lot of work, time, effort and I'm sure sleepless nights have been put into making this forum what it is and I respect that, period! If Fred decided to implement a rule stating that we can no longer post about customer issues on Wednesdays for instance, I'd respect that because this is "Fred's House"! We live by rules every day of our lives, and I think most of us respect them, but for some reason, because this is an internet forum, some people don't feel the need to respect its' creators rules. Well ENOUGH! I applaud that they are taking a stand on some things. :clapping:

Not that I've said that, I want to openly apologize to everyone on here for the post I made two days ago. I posted the link to the distasteful exercise video that Bradster was referring to, and he had every right to remove the post. I regretted posting it not long after I did, but was too late to edit it myself. Those of you who know me will agree that it was very much out of character for me to post such a thing and I have no excuse whatsoever for doing so.

This week has been quite an eye-opener for me in many ways. I need to be more aware of my actions and words, as they are very powerful tools when interacting with people in all walks of life. It really is amazing how one person's words and actions can influence another. I do believe that we eventually "become" like the 5 people we hang out with the most. I have made changes in my life recently in regards to who I hang out with and the conversations I have. I fully support the new "rules" implemented here on Signs101 and applaud the Moderators for sticking to their guns and doing their jobs! Call me a hypocrite for saying this after what I posted this week, I deserve it! I'm human and it was a bad judgment call. I will be keeping myself in better check moving forward, that you can count on.

Thanks for your time and I hope you accept my apology!
