  1. SP-300V alignment help please

Don't know if this will help, but years ago when I thought I wanted to push my sp300 out in the street in front of a moving truck, Bobby Fossen [sp] who is on here, suggested I try the Factory Default function. It's in the menu. Just scroll to it and hit enter. After ding this, you'll have to...
  2. Font help Please, What font is this number?

Why not just trace it ? five minute job. Most times these numbers are stretched and squished to the point they can't be identified. Dave
  3. Help: where is the cheapest place to buy sign vinyl?

I think we have a member wanting to ruffle some feathers.
  4. Roland SP-300v 0.0" Media Width

Do a test by moving your left pinch roll to the right [or next position]. If the width changes to that dimention, you have a cable problem. The wires are very thin and if the cable was kinked before it was installed, it might have been damaged. Not uncommon for the cable to get damaged. I got...
  5. Recent Work

What's the date for W of W this year? We plan on coming up again. Saw where a guy from Pittsbrgh won the Fast N Loud Trans Am. Thought he might have it at the show. Dave
  6. Uh...this sucks - Flexi nesting??

I guess I didn't understand the problem. I was referring to what is stated above about combining the files before you send to print / cut. We don't use poduction manager so I'm no help here. It will take a few minutes, but to get around the problem, you could just copy and paste the files into...
  7. Uh...this sucks - Flexi nesting??

After you nest the files, I'm assuming that now you have one file, try grouping them together. Dave
  8. Basketball Court

We've been laying down a 4' x 8' rectangle for a marketing company for the last seven years. One on each end of the court, oppisite sides about five ft. from the center line and two ft. from the base line. This is a place on the court that gets less traffic. They have girls tourney one weekend...
  9. New Roland VSi....anyone have one yet?

Just had the Versa Art RE -640 delivered and installed last week. We only had the sp300v, so this new one is like going from a VW to a Rolls. So far real happy with it. Still trying to get the colors right. Finally found a good tech guy and company for the Rolands. That's the main reason we got...
  10. Versaworks, SP540V, and GX-640 help needed.

I would think whomever you bought the plotter from should be able to help you. If not, try Bobby Fossen. He's a merchant member here. We bought our plotter from him and he set it up for us. Dave
  11. Gas Stations

That's when they were called service stations. Got your oil checked and windshield cleaned by an attendent who pumped the gas. And the price per gallon was only around 25 cents. They say it's all relative, but I'm not so sure. $4.00 plus for a gallon of gas and you do everything yourself. Got...
  12. Armature wire?

I would think the weight of the leaves will determine the thickness. I would use annealed wire. Copper will work, but in time might turn green or black if exposed to a damp enviroment. Will the tree have branches or just a trunk? Dave
  13. Ink Issues - Versacamm

Sorry it's taken so long to reply. Changed the #2 or E-2 board on Saturday. Printer is working fine now. Only problem I had was the print cut adjustment, but I'm sure changing the board had nothing to do with that. Other problem I had was getting the board. Contacted supplier, ordered the...
  14. Ink Issues - Versacamm

Have you turned your printer off since installing the new carts? Having problems right now with my 300v. Used it Sunday and Monday morning after turning it on, while going thru the checks, it stopped at the ink level check. Says there's no ink or crats in the printer. Like yours, mine shows the...
  15. Cleaning Encoder Strip Sensor - SP300

I think there's a pin or line up slot so you can't get the sensor misaligned. Just make positive it is sitting flush on the base and not rocking. This will tell you it's in the correct position. Dave
