  1. HP L25500 "Replace Printhead"

Swap heads around. See if the problem moves with the head or stays in slot 3.
  2. L25500 Carriage Cable replacement

It is a bit tricky. The cable conectors are quite small. There is not much margin for error. The first time i ever did this job i had the same result. Some guys with sausage fingers will hold the cable in square then activate the lock with a small screwy.
  3. Roland tech needed re. mainboard RS 540 in VP 540

Just looking at part numbers from digi Mind you its been years since i had to work with rolands, but I think this is where its all gone wrong. VP-540i Main Board - 6700989010...
  4. HP L25500 "Replace Printhead"

We just see things differently over here. Our customers are our business, there is no point trying to put the customers out of business with ridiculous service charges or trying to convince them to buy a new printer each time a little issue pops up. This is not a reflection on HP but more the...
  5. HP L25500 "Replace Printhead"

Probably too late seeing as you bought a new set of flats..but maybe beneficial for others See attached pic. What the crappy stock image will not show is the 2nd set of black dots on the flat cable. The smaller set should be inline with the 2 black tabs that the arrow points to. (as per all...
  6. HP Scitex FB950 cyan dropping out...

Good to hear you are on the way to getting a fix. Sometimes the internal seal on the thermistor falls down and sits on the end of the glass...giving a false reading of ink being in the res. If you need a set of thermistors (3 piece matched set) and cannot source them, drop me a line and...
  7. HP Scitex FB950 cyan dropping out...

No worries 950 engineers are a dying breed...like in Higlander I consume their souls until there is only 1. It may come down to other parts, but this test will give a good direction to head in. Good luck, be careful parts are rare.
  8. HP Scitex FB950 cyan dropping out...

The thermistors, sorry i was unclear. To further expand..there is 3 in total. 2 ink and 1 air. Only need to change the ink ones around. There will be one in K and one in C. The 2 colours share the air thermistor. It is preferred to have the air thermistor in the cyan...or the further away...
  9. HP Scitex FB950 cyan dropping out...

Swap the ink thermistor from C to K run test again.(remember to also swap cabel positions) Could be a call for ink problem, where it thinks it has ink..so doesn't ask for more. Im not always convinced by the error reporting on the 950s or 500/700s. There is a few other tests but based on...
  10. HP LX850 Constant Printhead Reseating (What's the real problem?)

Few things you could try. *machine off... Try cleaning the printhead interconnect board contacts. If feeling a bit savy, remove them and inspect all the wire contactors. Swap Y/M interconnect with LCLM and give it some time to see if error goes to YM (good test to narrow feild)...
  11. HELP! I'm Pulling my hair out trying to fix this overspray issue on my FB700

Go to "print tests" and then do a "prime bar" A nozzle test shows not a lot IMO You should have nice SQUARE blocks - ie all nozzels start firing at the same time and finish at the same time. The should be the same density from top to bottom - ie no light sections in middle (not going to be your...
  12. HP 360 de-lamination issues

This is good advice - also just to add to this leave overnight bit. I find i prefer the ink saturation towards the high end of the scale, but what I realised i was doing was canceling the print after it hit say 90% The machine would then cure the print at the same rate of printing etc..but...
  13. Air Tubes HP L25500

First figure out if it is actually a ink supply station issue. IS there actually air in the lines ? I had one case that all symptoms lead us to believe it was an ISS issue and the black heads would die prematurely like 80ml to 200ml, but on inspection found the maintenance cart would not...
  14. Ink Erewhere! Split Ink Line

See if you can get in on a parts only service contract 12months for about 1500AUD (may have gone up) For that price its well worth it in my opinion
  15. HP Designjet 8000s

From memory the 8000 connects to the pc via 2 tin cans and a string. Im fairly sure they didn't have an EWS
  16. Ink Erewhere! Split Ink Line

Seeing as its cyan...ill guess that its a 26500 Seems to be the colour of choice to split on the 260/280 series. Have not seen any other colour split, and have not seen the 25500 split any colours yet.
  17. HP ink profilers

There are part numbers (see attached)..but I do not like your chances of being able to find in stock let alone able to purchase. Having left over ink is a sign your system is not functioning well as they work on assumed values, ie. if it takes 100ml to purge but in reality only used 50ml, 100ml...
  18. HP Latex 360 25:1:10 Error

put bluntly..the ink sensor is rooted and needs replacement. This printer should still be under warranty call your service provider, you cant reuse the ink carts that were tagged with the 25.x:10 error
  19. HP 26500 ink channel hold down clips

Mate, im telling ya...dont get new clips or a new IDS. Cable tie the racks in place and it will never happen again.
  20. Any reports on the new 7_00.11 firmware yet?

hahaha yeah I know, I was just trying to cause trouble with that bit !
