When you flattened it....the color changed correct? What you are doing is flattening in either 4c Process or RGB colorspaces. If your background has changed with the flattening...and from what I can likely see it has....then you need to look at the color chart, figure out the closest RGB or...

the problem is the Transparency effect combined with the SPOT color. Its converting the effect to CMYK or RGB based on your Transparency settings and converting out to the boundaries of the effect in that colorspace. If you Convert your background color to Either RGB or CMYK the bounding box...

Problem Resolved. Was not material....printer....static...dust. It was definitively the Cyan Ink. Apparently some sort of separation of components in the chemistry caused the ink to fisheye and cause the problems. This was the 3rd Batch of ink sent to us. Finally...!!!

Im running this job on another pc of material...sample roll of 3552 and same results from it. I have run CMYK only test....and results seem fine. no pinholes or fisheyes to speak of. Trying the CMYK only again on new material to see whats up in a bit. we've tried various materials....and now...

Getting white pinholes throughout the printed area on a blue flood. Im not sure whats going on....dont recall seeing this previously anywhere. thought it was dust or even static....cant put a finger on it at the moment. I would say the controltak is bad...but its not happening on my Vutek...

Blockout or doesnt matter?? we have 98in 20oz backlit in stock...can get a blockout as well.

+1 Unless you KNOW its somewhat of a throwaway drive...dont skimp. Go with the best you can afford.

I have Sericol inks in my Roland....great results so far. Couple of mishaps on their part...but they made good. Its a bulk ink system based on cartridges...but its visual. Keep the ink between the lines...and you're good to go. Tough for long runs...have to top off after a day of printing...

We upgraded from our PV 200 to a QS a few years ago....easy to maintain. Jets seem easier to replace and maintain the QS as well for a real production environment like ours.
