One thing I was told when I was looking for a printer was to make sure you have someone close by that can service it. I purchased a new Roland VG2 and I am more than happy with it, it prints amazing and I laminate shortly after I print so I can install the same day with no problems.

What did you end up using? Is it still working out good?

Not sure if this is the same with the Rolands but with my old Mimaki it has a valve near the cartridge that you needed to go into the menu and open the valve to be able to pull the ink with a syringe. Not sure just putting that out there.

Colin Furze is amazing on what he creates, his Youtube channel is pretty cool. When you have some time you should take a look at all the stuff he has created. If he ran for office I would vote for him. Lol.

The gerber edge and plotters are real picky on what cables and how you load the drivers. Only a handful of cables work with the usb to serial or parallel what ever it takes.
