I was partly correct - we disabled Edge Font creation because of changes in the color, fill structures after GA 6.X - you must also have an "Edge Ready" system - that would be anyone that outputs to an Edge. I will bring this up in our next software meeting.

Let me look into this. I'm thinking that "Edge Fonts" can no longer be created because when we added the creation of Spot to Spot fills, etc we did NOT update the font generation process - reason was we found no one creating their own Edge Fonts and we had higher priorities. I'll report back ASAP

With GA you will have to reassign all your colors, with Omega they will import.

The problem with the CMX format is the documentation has not been updated from Corel since version 8 and they have changed and added elements to the format. I've begged but with no success.

What color palette have you tried (userinks.cpl) and what do you export from Corel as. If you use userinks.cpl and export as PDF the colors import including densities and overprint setting. You can ONLY get the userinks.cpl from me or anyone else I've email it to. It's a non supported...

The edit fields in 6.2 are controled by the Window's International settings under the Control Panel - there is Metric and English (or imperial) I forgot which.

You should submit a PERU bug report with the attached file(s). Otherwise I can guess all day why it will not import and crash. You should have the Problem and Enhancement Report Utility icon on your desktop.

I would assume the PDF contains and "image" of the Power Point @ a low resolution and not vector data.

As Dave has said, since your running an older Omega you will have to uninstall the Rainbow security driver and install the one on the Gerber CD. Not sure what Flexi is using these days for the Rainbow (now SafeNet) version of the driver but Gerber's Omega 3 and 4 are using version 7 something...

Did you change any hardware, different computer, printer cable (is it USB ot Parallel), operating system?
