  1. Need Help Plastic Sheeting Vinyl Attachment

We stick to ABS just fine for a few customers, but the sheets we use are rough on one side and smooth on the other side. We stick to the smooth side with regular old 3M 220 and 180c. For the rougher side you're going to want to use something like Arlon DPF8000 or Avery's high tack vinyl. FYI...
  2. Large Picture For Wall 24' L X 10' H Where To Start?

Phototex Opaque material for printing on. Use 1" overlaps on your vertical panels in your rip. Get a high res image from any of the stock sites, purchase Gigapixel AI for upscaling it as large as possible. Set up a blank photoshop file at 100 DPI for printing, 2" larger all around than your...
  3. Composer 7 Losing Connection to Graphtec mid-cut?

Manually assigned IP addresses, nothing else on the network shares their addresses.
  4. Composer 7 Losing Connection to Graphtec mid-cut?

Sending 1 job, same cut job 200+ times on each roll.
  5. Composer 7 Losing Connection to Graphtec mid-cut?

The Graphtec plotters are assigned IP addresses on our network.
  6. Composer 7 Losing Connection to Graphtec mid-cut?

We routinely send long runs of cuts to our plotters here. We cut 48"x50yd rolls of the same decal over and over again. This works fine with our old summa, but the summa is an old plotter on its last leg and keeps slipping and going off track, but NEVER loses connection or stops cutting on its...
  7. Free Stuff For Y'all

2001 Ford Ranger Stepside Bedside, 10% scale.
  8. How do you store / organize your overs?

We use some blueprint cabinets for the regular customers with re-orders. Otherwise, trash them if you don't give them to them with their initial order.
  9. Aluminum cabinet without welding

You can use Lord's adhesive along with aluminum angle along the edges/corners and make the faces from thin aluminum or routed ACM. As stated, correctly reinforce any locations/sides for mounting. Contact your vendor for the full Lord's adhesive chart/brochure to be sure you're purchasing the...
  10. What material is this?

That's Leo's Gold, you can tell by how it turns green. Leo passed a few years ago and no one wanted to adopt his process to continue making the materials. I recommend using products from RealGold or SignGold companies, they're good quality products and do not need encapsulated around the edges...
  11. Suggestions Wholesale Billboard Source Needed

IndyImaging is wholesale to the trade only. Grand format printers.
  12. Full color graphics applied to Dry Erase Magnetic Glass Quartet Boards

The steel polymetal works great for magnetic dry erase boards. We print on vinyl and lam with Dry Erase laminate and mount to that. There's also nicer enamel coated steel boards but they're harder to route to shape.
  13. Epson Sure Color 80600 for sale!

Looks like the printer is in good shape, you would do well to print a test print and upload the photo of that. Heads on these are the real possible issue.

  16. Looking for a vehicle template

Just realized, that thread started 10 years ago... now I feel old!
  17. Looking for a vehicle template

Definitely NOT the truck you grabbed a template of, but I do not use that site. You could park probably 4 of these trucks in the back of the truck you found. The truck I need is only 54" wide overall.
  18. Looking for a vehicle template

Looking for a template for a 1995 Mitsubishi Minicab "truck" cab. (not the box) I can't find one on the internet anywhere. I know how to make my own; it is just a pain I'd rather avoid if possible... Anyone have one or a lead on one?
  19. Looking for a metal brake

Thinking about adding a metal brake to our shop for bending sheet goods like aluminum and polymetal. What do/don't you recommend?
  20. AUTOMATION and WORKFLOW

If the issue is business/job management, we had custom software built for us around 8 years ago, and recently outgrew it. We looked at all of the software out there and it either seemed too simple or way too complicated and in the end decided to have another piece of software custom written to...
