  1. Just In New Coloured Screws For Signage

Robertson screws are square head, right? I hate those. They build trailers with them and they always strip out, even on a brand new trailer. The screws the OP pictured are just self-drilling lath screws, with the head painted. We prefer the point tip lath screws, and paint them ourselves...
  2. Removable "stickers" on cargo vans? (No steel so no magnets!?)

  3. Removable "stickers" on cargo vans? (No steel so no magnets!?)

Glass Apeel works for a door "magnet" though it's not as reusable as real magnetics. I think there already is some kind of a changeable billboard system for truck/trailer boxes.
  4. yeti coolers

    You tell the customer no.
  5. Vinyl/Lam to withstand hospital-grade disinfectant

The website doesn't have anything but the MSDS, and that only lists hydrogen peroxide, which I don't think is going to do anything to the sticker. But I could find no ingredient list. Usually there's going to be some sort of surfactant and some alcohol in a spray like that. But even those...
  6. Outsource Graphic Design

That looks like it was actually airbrushed on the car. If it's a wrap you could fake the airbrush in photoshop, but it would require an even steadier hand with the mouse or tablet than actual airbrushing would require.
  7. Corel 2020 error message on startup

Go to Tools/options/global/file locations and you can change them there
  8. FONT ID HELP !!!

  9. What is wrong with this pdf...........................................................................

I was able to import it to Corel Draw as objects, since I don't have the fonts. Although I got two rectangles (presumably the clipping paths) and deleted them, the O of DONE is corrupt and doesn't import. I've attached the rest of the file.
  10. DIBOND brand ACM supplier

Dibond is heavier and stiffer than garden-variety sign supply copycats. It was developed not for the sign industry but the architectural/construction industry and is used a skin on buildings exterior and interior. It also meets some building and fire code standards that sign board may or may not...
  11. (PLEASE ADD YOUR INPUT) Printing a wrap based on customer info

I'd say they are in your shop longer than ours by the amount of time it takes to print, laminate, and trim. In our hands that would turn it from 1 day in shop to 2, though it wouldn't be end of day on day 2. But to the customer it means the vehicle is out of service twice as long.
  12. (PLEASE ADD YOUR INPUT) Printing a wrap based on customer info

The problem would lie in the customer having to leave their vehicle with you for an extra day or two or three so you can design, print, laminate, and trim your wrap before you then install it. I don't know what kind of customers you have, but mine need and use their vehicles and will not stand...
  13. Software Questions

The only way you can remove pixelation is by vectorizing (redrawing the element in vector format). You can do that in Corel or Omega. The best is to never use bitmap elements in the design to begin with. I am pretty certain that all the stickers on an aircraft are going to be color shapes and...
  14. Software Questions

Not sure where you are getting the Corel draw files from, but if you have Corel Draw you really don't need the step of taking the file into Sign Lab. You can weld, vectorize, etc. in Corel Draw just fine. You can also add text in Corel Draw. As to whether Omega can weld...
  15. I was thinking of picking up a Laserpecker to engrave my banana, thoughts?

They do bruise art on bananas. Why not laser? https://designyoutrust.com/2020/12/this-artist-creates-amazing-banana-art-made-by-poking-and-bruising-the-skin-no-ink-is-used/
  16. (PLEASE ADD YOUR INPUT) Printing a wrap based on customer info

I will design a wrap using the templates but I find the templates are notoriously wrong on dimensions, particularly on the front and rear plan views. So once we get to the point of the customer wanting to go ahead, we require them to bring the vehicle by to be photographed and measured. Any...
  17. Need Help Removal of Print From Sign Surface

Assuming your profile is correct, if you are within Grimco's NJ delivery zone, you can just call them to order polycarbonate by the foot. They don't have it available to order online. No matter which supplier you use, you won't likely find anybody who lists a 4'x16' piece online to order. They...
  18. Stick-on Letters

With studs you usually use silicone so that the letter can be removed if necessary to repair a damaged letter or to repaint.
  19. Question static electricity on sheets of coro....

You must not live where we do. Way too much humidity to have static electricity here right now.
  20. Backlit Sign Help

it may have vinyl letters on the inside, but the white is painted after the vinyl is applied. If you want to reuse the pan face, you will have to remove the vinyl (if any) by peeling it off, then remove all the paint using denatured alcohol, paper towels and elbow grease and time. Once you have...
