don't use any pins, just use paint, black paint around the stud holes of the backs of the letters and will leave a mark on the paper pattern.

Matthews does good quality but they take a bit longer than most vendors (i.e. Gemini) , are there any other vendors for etched metal plaques with a quicker turnaround than 3-4 weeks? Specifically for etched aluminum and brass plaques... I have done some work with zinc vendors in the past, but...

Thanks all. I ended up using baby shampoo with water. It was smooth squeeging. I flooded both sides of the vinyl which helped I think.

What is the best liquid or mix of soap / water? to apply a printed vinyl graphic with lamination onto a sheet of pre-painted white 040 gauge aluminum sheet metal? I have tried ActionTAC, but is very aggressive, any other suggestions, I am doing them by hand squeege, the panels are 4 ft x 6 ft

Great thanks. I broker most of my vinyl work out right now, but I am familiar with the basic operation etc. and am versed in graphic design. Which is a good place to get the cutter from? signwarehouse? grimco? or any other dealers?

I am in the market for a 30" plotter. Looking at the Graphtec 8600 series. Can anyone recommend or review? Also, how easy is setup? Do I need to hire a tech to come and do the setup? Or is just a matter of putting the stand underneath the cutter and plugging in?

Well think about it, actualy sandblasting glass goes for about $50 - $70 per sq ft, here in NY that is. And on-site sandblasting, forget about it. So at $42 per sqft, that is a great discount for the client looking for this alternative etched glass effect, mind you , pricing etch film / frosted...
