Sorry to hear that GetLucky. I would say this printer is not worth keeping around without a service contract or warranty. They've replaced my heads about 6 times now, over a 2 year period.

I agree, too thin and weak. If you want strength, go with alupanel or dibond. Compbond looks fine and I use it for sandwich board inserts, the price is right.

Hi reQ, I would agree, being in Canada, Oracal pricing is a bit out of wack. Seen increases from Avery and 3M but Oracal has been creeping up too high too fast. Makes me think they are not really trying for the Canadian market. I've been using Avery 2060 instead of 210.

Assuming the OP installed all test pieces the same way, then are we looking something with the vinyl, adhesive, and substrate combination. I think it's also probably safe to assume the original lettering done was done by the same installer, at the same time, with same technique (wet or dry)...

I've given up trying to print on 1005 with my eco-solv. All other media, including other avery media, prints fine. I haven't seen that, I get mottling in any solid colours. Show your supplier and they'll give you another roll, and then it will likely happen again.
