the removal would be like double (if not more) than the install so as long as the customer has the time and will pay then have at it.
i use the vinyl zapper for removals with vinyl that bad but never did one that large. i would definitely make the investment in the steamer, everyone that has one...
a few things but #1 if you take a blade to any sign or print it's going to scratch it. noting is impervious to blades other than metal photo process.
the true test is the tape test. print a sample and put a piece of tape on it rub it down real good and pull the tape see if any ink comes off.
we...
agreed with the recommendations for high tack vinyl, should be cast and air agress (avery 1106HT EZ would be a good choice) but i would be concerned with the sharp edges of the stucco ripping through the vinyl.
not sure how much coverage you have to do but i would definitely be concerned with...
when you transport it definitely lock the head in place but if you are not traveling far and it won't be off for long, meaning once you get it where it's going you can plug it back in then it should be fine but if you have to put it in storage or won't be using it for a long period of time then...
depending on when you are planning on using it i would keep it plugged in till you move it and then plug it in once you get where you're going. also run test prints and perhaps run the attached file once in a while to keep the ink flowing.
if you won't be using it for a long period of time i...
probably want to look in to a smaller uv printer but speed could be an issue.
i have heard good things on the new roland uv printers. we have an LEJ-640 and it's been a work horse but no speed demon. quality is good and would be fine for what you want to do.
it can print roll and rigid media...
we had our gerber edge and plotter for like 15 yrs and it was a work horse. we cleaned and lubricated what we could but other than that only service we had done was on the plotter once and that was because it wasn't working (forget what went wrong). the printer never had service. we did blow a...
you may want to change all the cap tops and dampers as well. those are all regular consumables (it's like changing the oil and filters in your car) minimal cost and you can do it yourself but can make a ton of difference

just got this in an email
funny stuff
agree on the cheap lam, that's what is burnt up there. loos like they put cut vinyl on top of the laminate because the graphics are not burnt, just the background, weird combo.
agree the frame needs to be cleaned up and painted and if you're going to use the whole existing structure and not...
we have had the LEJ 640 for well over 10years now and it's been a work horse (like all the rolands we have had in the past up until the truvis, that was a piece of crap but it was the first generation)
its a great machine as long as speed is not an issue although i have heard that the new...
we do work for Loreal and the past two years we do a bunch of stuff for them for the pride parade in NY.
big 12 ft x 3ft banner with pole pockets and poles for them to walk with it and a bunch of coro and foam board signs/posters.
we will make what ever they want to pay for. the parade is going...
we are in north eastern jersey close to NY and on wed around 1 or 2 it was just brown outside. i live in north west jersey on the border of PA and it was orange but i figure if i survived riding in the car with my parents smoking and the windows rolled up as a kid then this is nothing...haha
why are you wet applying?
if you are using a mounting table or a laminator you really shouldn't need to wet apply, do you need to reposition it or move it for some reason?
like already mentioned there really isn't anything that is going to be indestructible but this holds up pretty good. (well we haven't gotten any complaints ...yet?)
you want to sub print on .020 or .030 polycarbonate/lexan and mount a 3m adhesive to the back so it will stick. we do a job for amazon, its a printed square floor graphic with a QR code that a robot rides along and reads. tells them what's on the shelf.
we have done two runs so far for them so...
