  1. Possible to wrap in one piece?

It will need to be done in a couple pieces to stay down in place, too many complex curves and potentials for failure due to overstretching the vinyl. Knifeless tape is your friend here. Ask the customer to do the disassembly before the truck gets to your shop and reassembly after, a lot of...
  2. What am I worth?

I think your problem may be that you're "too diversified" in your skillset. It is not a problem in itself, but if you stuck to one aspect of your skillset and mastered that, then this particular specialty can pay higher than a person that can do a bit of everything "decently". (If that makes...
  3. Gassing out Eco solv printed media.

The reason that the airflow needs to go out the bottom of the rolls/box is that solvents are heavier than regular air, so they want to go downwards. Loosen the rolls up as much as you can and put it into the box, it definitely makes a difference; leaving it tightly rolled overnight just traps...
  4. Edge curling on solvent murals

No, but do NOT laminate your prints until they out-gas; we wait overnight here before we laminate. I would really recommend just getting an S60, do you REALLY need the extra color gamut? We've never had any of our picky customers complain that we can't hit their colors. The extra inks are more...
  5. Info about Epson pprinters

We use a setting in our Onyx RIP to increase the ink density across all channels and still print at 6 pass.
  6. Info about Epson pprinters

S60 all day long. S40 is just a single head and half as quick. We ran Mimaki printers here, then went briefly to a latex 360, and then went to Epson. We now have three S60s here, and no issues.
  7. Gassing out Eco solv printed media.

Ikarasu is correct, the adhesive itself is degraded by the solvent. One you trap/block the solvent from off-gassing through the front by laminating it, it has nowhere else to go but "into" the vinyl/adhesive itself. Vinyl rushed like this will fail more often then vinyl which isn't. For most...
  8. Need Help This banding has stumped me. s80600

If this printer is a few years old and those nozzles are unrecoverable, then it might be one of the heads going out. Try running it in single head mode to isolate which head it is. You can also try a CMYK-only profile to see if it is one of the CMYK heads or one of the "additional color" heads...
  9. Need Help This banding has stumped me. s80600

You have more than a few bad nozzles in your test print. Do you know how to clean your printer properly? (serious question, not a jab at you) If the capping station and head isn't clean-clean you will have sealing issues start to have print issues like this. These missing nozzles may be the...
  10. Gassing out Eco solv printed media.

  11. CNC Routing Steel/Porcelain?

We have been buying precut sizes of a similar material for people requiring magnetic receptive sign faces, but it is expensive and would be great to bring this piece of the process in-house. https://grimco.com/Catalog/Products/MAX-METALELEMENT Has anyone tried routing this material above from...
  12. OH STILL Need a ohio installer for 3 jobs easy$$$

Looking for a job? We are always looking for installers here, but we're across the river by CVG.
  13. White not printing in design

The file has to be set up correctly as overprints & the correct spot color that your machine recognizes. It also can't do overprints/spot colors with transparency. The RIP also has to be using the correct color profile that includes the use of Spot White.
  14. Vehicle Wrap Templates

We use PVO for templates. See this thread for ImageClub10 fun. https://www.signs101.com/threads/imageclub10.132270/ We also subscribe to Adobe Stock images and iStock. I also use some (free) images/art from Vecteezy.
  15. Suggestions What media would be good for art prints on an eco solvent printer? *not canvas*

I've always liked the Sihl papers. They have quite a selection, your local vendor should be able to get you some samples in.
  16. Dance Floor Decal

I would say a gold chrome wrap vinyl would be what you're looking for. It isn't going to be cheap though!
  17. Office ID sign (ADA) supplier

We use a vendor local to us, Todd Engraving in Covington, KY. Since you're not local it might not make as much sense, but they do a GREAT job of it. Ask for Dan Wiggins there. (859) 491-0645
  18. Where to get faux neon sign?

If you are looking for someone to outsource this to, try Grimco. They came in and went through their LED items with us when we were considering switching vendors for certain items. While they were here they said that they make these (I was hoping to get info on how to make them in-house). Ask...
  19. S60600 Horizontal Banding "lawn mower banding"

We have three and have never had this issue or this poor of a print. Sounds like you need a new service tech/dealer. Also, the "quality" of the print overall itself looks questionable here. What DPI is this file set up at?
