  1. Need Help Why do illustrator drop shadows get saved at the same size as the artboard when converting to pdf.?

Usually, when I see 227"x227" in the size box there are hidden guidelines in the file that got saved. Maybe it's not your issue, but once I clear those invisible guides, the size matches the artboard.
  2. With a heavy heart!!

Rest well Fred. Was a bang-up guy here on the list as the owner and a member. Condolences to his family.

  7. Getting a firm (but not crushing) grip on your banana is going to cost you more than $2k + shipping

Better than corn hole (boards). No telling where Google push marketing would send me.

Technology useful, amazing, and so easily abused.
  9. Getting a firm (but not crushing) grip on your banana is going to cost you more than $2k + shipping

Bananas are always in season year round here. As for the alert - it was a Google trap, they baited me in with bananas. Adam Savage, the former Myth Busters guy, ordered one of these and did a review on it. Banana free - he used a crescent wrench to show how it could hold irregular-shaped...
  10. Getting a firm (but not crushing) grip on your banana is going to cost you more than $2k + shipping

Seems like banana tech is advancing almost daily: Pretty interesting tool (the vice not the banana). I watched the Youtube episode from the Fireball Tool guy when he restored one from the 1920s. The updated (ripped off?) version from China looks like a nice piece of stainless kit, but I don't...
  11. 3D Cube structure need produced

I think I'd skip the 3d printing for a shape that is that large and all simple flat panels. If it is an interior display, you could do the frame in wood and skin it with PVC, or do both in PVC. Home Depot sells PVC window/door trim planks that are up to 3/4 thick. You can run them through a...
  12. Snow stake cover/driveway markers

This. Maybe use a 3mm pvc to make them a little more durable. HH66 will weld PVC solid. Not sure how PVC holds up in snow but we did do a full wrapped sheet (4x8) of the 3mil inside a walk-in freezer to cover up a contractor's mistake on one wall (with a forklift). It's been 6 or 7 months and...

  18. Installing multi-piece display straight & aligned

I'd definitely listen to Mose. If I attempted the one with all the squares I'd probably make it to number 10 or 12 on the first row before breaking down and turning the laser on myself.
