Weird. Never had that issue with the GoProduce plugin for marks, and use it quite a bit. They start off being locked but once unlocked they stay that way.
If you're exporting as a PDF it will ignore any locked layers?
My advice is to read the hundreds of threads here that cover this exact topic. Everyone will have their own personal flavor preference when it comes to brands. If you truly want print/cut, you'll be limited to either Roland or Mimaki. Personally I wouldn't buy any of Roland's new offerings and...
Without knowing what you're actually charging for these, if you think you're not making enough and wondering if you should raise prices, you probably should.
Factor in all material costs then multiply by 2.5
Factor in your 50 hours of labor etc and multiply by your hourly rate
If that total is...
You're welcome. Here's a quick video regarding the workflow:
They're using a newer printer and version of Versaworks, but the steps are the same on older units and version of VW.
Care to elaborate?
Do you have white ink capabilities?
Is a design going to be incorporated or just one solid finish?
Why isn't frosted being considered?
I wonder how this will play out in the end.
We haven't run into issues yet but it's inevitable.
How will agencies communicate brand guidelines if Adobe is the "standard" and it no longer supports the printing standard for color matching & referencing?
Here's my 5 minute take on the design. Not pretty or polished by any means but meant more to show how much coverage I would aim for.
Customer might put up a fight but I'd lose at least 50% of the random thoughts that he wants to have on there. It's a billboard, not a short story.
Can't comment on UK suppliers, but coroplast is very easy to cut by hand. Do you have the ability to print full sheets then cut down?
Either way, a sharp OLFA knife and a safety ruler is the cheapest/fastest.
Next would probably be one of these: https://www.keencut.com/product/steeltrak/
No problem, happy to help another fellow Canadian.
Just a couple of notes regarding your concerns w/ cutting on the Roland - all you have to do is print registration marks out of Versaworks, and select "print only". Laminate your prints, feed them back in the machine (with the...
I would take MPI 2050 and Substance off your list, for this application. Reading and familiarizing yourself with materials' intended application will be a good starting point. All manufacturers will have product bulletins and sell sheets for every material they make/sell.
That leaves the...
How long have you worked at Monday.com??
Snide comments related to your subtle spam post aside, does monday.com actually have features specifically related to the sign industry?
A friend of mine owns a paving/construction company and has been running everything through monday.com for years and...
I seem to remember there being something like this, some kind of installer map network thing. Not finding much online though.
Found a couple random ones:

For sure. I just cringe when we have to pay top dollar for 3M. You're not getting the same value you used to from the "best" manufacturer(s). 3M's QC department must be run by blind robots.
I just realized I wrote Arlo (my son's name) instead of Arlon. Ha. I'm not fixing it either.
