  1. Question Print / Cut directly on reflective

We do it almost everyday with Gerber Edge printers. They are "made" to do jobs like this and striping with pinstriped edges. You will have perfect prints/cuts every time (no matter the length) with the alignment and sprocketed plotters. You can print white (there is actually a variety of whites)...
  2. Do you laminate your plain vinyl lettering?

The only reason to ever laminate cut vinyl is when you're using specialty (non-cast) vinyls and you encapsulate the vinyl. You have to Cut it, weed it, laminate it, then cut it again, then weed it again then mask it. All with registration obviously, and it is a complicated process for only...
  3. Can I shake cartridges before turning on printer?

I would definitely NOT turn these printers off and leave them off. We keep our printers on 24/7/365 and they do their periodic cleanings when they are supposed to. We do not have any head issues out of ours this way. Leaving them off leads to more manual maintenance recovering nozzles and more...
  4. 3M IJ180 vs 40c

We use 180c here for the longevity. Don't have much issue with stretch/seams but it has always been our go-to for most all projects so the installers know it well.
  5. Another Double-Sided Printing Thread

We usually just sew two banners together if possible.
  6. Have you ever?

I don't think that the 8150 has the same conformability that the 180 does, so it will probably pop back up around rivets on the truck. It also doesn't have any UV inhibitors, so you are going to need to use real laminate. If you've just taken off the laminator, your options are to go ahead and...
  7. Outgassing in Eco-solvent

Yes, outgassing IS a real thing. You might not see it become an issue on regular decals going onto flat surfaces, but if you're putting decals or a wrap over recesses, those non-outgassed prints WILL pop back out of the crevices when a properly outgassed print will not. We learned that from...
  8. Tire Shredder | CM Shredders

Do you need decals produced for these machines? We produce a lot of industrial decals for similar companies machinery!
  9. Looking for help in deciphering this coloring code

https://encycolorpedia.com/search?q=RAL+5011 For the gradient if you are supposed to be matching the yellow/blue at the ends you will have to convert them to the appropriate CMYK values from your Pantone Color Bridge book and have the blend work from that. You can't put actual spot colors into...
  10. Circle sticker issues

Some plotters just cut decals with borders like this better than others. The type of registration marks used/read can also lead to tighter tolerances if that is an option on your plotter.
  11. Looking for ACM/Polymetal

We are looking for a few sheets of 1/4" (6 mm) Brushed Silver Polymetal and all of our usual suppliers are out. Does anyone know of any (US) suppliers that might have some in stock?
  12. Opinions: Epson 60600 vs. Mimaki JV300-160 for wraps?

We have been VERY happy with our Epson S60600 printers. (we have 3 now) They are super user-friendly, easy to set up, load and maintain. We have not had any major problems out of ours, but we learned with our last generation Epsons (S70 series) that it is better to keep them all under warranty...
  13. Cool little promo video of us

When I started here 10 years ago we were much smaller and only had about 6 employees total. We have grown every year and now we do as much in 1-2 days as we used to do in a week. Put out quality work and you'll gain loyal customers and have the good reputation to gain new customers. Our main...
  14. Avery® SF 100 Conform Chrome

We have cut the Avery Chrome Wrap Vinyl for customer vehicle lettering. It does last well. No issues cutting it on our old Mimaki plotters at that time.
  15. Cool little promo video of us

Hello, here is a nice little "behind the scenes" video of us at work here at Crux RoadBoardz (where I work). (Yes, I am talking in the video some) Let me know your thoughts!
  16. Epson Printer Keeps Tripping Surge Protector, Should I Get A Battery Backup?

There are different "grades" of surge protector. Possibly yours just isn't up to snuff. Buy a quality one that will handle the load, not just a cheap one. Epson printers like these are supposed to be on their own 30 amp circuit IIRC.
  17. Think it's too subtle? LOL.

I had a customer years ago that wanted this on their landscaping trucks. Said it helped bring in business, lol.
  18. Think it's too subtle? LOL.

This company actually DOES specialize in erections.
  19. Think it's too subtle? LOL.

I always laugh at this one when I see them on the road.
