Why did Mimaki decide to do this? If it were me, I never would have bought the printer based on having to weigh the ink.. whats wrong with cartridges? I don't get it
Question about the cartridges on this new machine. Last week turned the printer on and it keeps showing an illustration of an ink cartridge in the info screen and you can't do anything until this problem is addressed. It seems like it wants the ink changed yet there is easily at least a third...
The image is pretty low res and I broke the masks down so that I could print one line of them for you. Not sure what colour it should be but it sort of has a goldy brown look. File attached
Yes, I use the profiles that Flexi has and there are quite a few. I generally use the Oracal 651 profile but print on General Formulations for the most part. When it comes to bitmaps I really don't adjust anything...they seem OK but if customers get picky I could see where there could be an issue.
I run a jv150 using Jetbest inks and have no problems matching colours up to pantones using the Onyx colour chart someone posted a while back. I don't run Rasterlink though and use Flexi.
The Edge always prints well with 2ml 3M white. Drop outs sometimes can actually be the vinyl itself, with very small indentations that stop the foil from bonding. Someone once on here suggested to put a 1" bar of the first colour being printed at the front of the print which gives the heads...
I have the subscription plan so moving from 19 to 21 was included. At first I heard it was buggy so stayed away but now use it and it seems ok.
A few weird things have happened...the only one I remember was that one job printed differently than what it was showing me in the Rip & Print.. so...
Yea I know that one. In the winter after cutting a lot of 48" vinyl on my Graphtec..you need to be very careful when winding it back up after cutting as your pants get pretty close the to vinyl basket with the aluminum rails...OUCH!!! Hit you right in the zipper!!!
The laminator can be a source...
Looking to try this line out for general decals and wondered how it rates compared to general Formulations 203 vinyl. For those that use it your thoughts? The next vinyl up from there was about $350 a roll and that is a bit much for a calendered vinyl.
Thankfully it was a small run..I would have been pretty annoyed if it was a large run and only notice the issue at the end of the run. I called Flexi and I think the tech was a bit confused by it as well.
I have had this happen the odd time but can't figure out why it happens. The pics show how it looks when sending it out through Rip & Print and then how the printer actually printed the decals. I can't see any reason why it would do this but more importantly is it going to cut it the way it...
I gave my old Summa d-140 plotter to my screen printer. He calls me and says the Summa software is asking for an activation key. I have never heard of a piece of hardware let alone a plotter needing such a thing...Where would I find this activation key?
