The drag knife should be able to cut any shape as that is the type of knife that pretty much all plotters use these days. I have the same plotter and have to say the tangenital blade does a fine job and small detail work that a drag knife could never do properly.
I usually open pdf files in acrobat or any pdf viewer that has some export optionsl and resave as a high res bitmap. Keeps everything the way it should look
Have had mine for 2 years.. No real problems to mention...prints so much better than my old jv3.
I hear they don't make it anymore as a friend in the biz wanted the same one as mine but now he can only get a 63" with 600cc ink cartridges 2 heads.
I'm not installing , just supplying... I think the original spec was for wooden poles and you could screw them in. Not to many wooden poles anymore in subdivisions. I suggested waiting till spring but they have to be done... The Tapcons might be the way to go
I told my customer I would ask if there was anything to do this, so I ask the pro's here. I just have to supply the pole numbers but warned them that I am not sure if there is anything that will work in below freezing temps. Typically following some old spec ( which is just plain wrong) for...
Maybe try putting a cut border around the graphic, that way it will cut everything you want and screw up on the border...or just add a small cut to the far right after the portion you want to cut
I have only had this cutter for a few months, so I am on a learning curve. I generally only use this plotter for printed items that need cutting. I know with this blade you really should only have it out enough to cut through the vinyl and then use pressure to give it more cutting power...
There has to be a way to do this as mine always defaults to none. I made my own preset and want it to be used without me having to always select it. Is there a way?
I can't see something like that happening that fast. I would think that the fine cracks in the black were there before you even cut it, but they were not visible.
