  1. What the F*()*#$ is wrong with my printer ???

To me it looks like the ink firing electronics are messed up. Loose cable or electronics have gone bad. I don't this it's communications because most printers are driven by some kind of language that follows a strict syntax and if not followed you would be getting error messages on the printer...
  2. ArtPath

Your security key is bad, you have options that NO ONE has ever had or should have. Call TeckSupport at Gerber.
  3. CS3 Install Problems

The CS3 installer is new, Adobe hoping to clean things up with DLLs overlapping with different suites, etc. Durningthe "beta" run I found / had a number of install probelms with PS and AI, all reported. 5. GSPlot

I see no traces of text actually entered in Composer so I'll assume it was imported from another file type. Your version of Omega is 1.56 ?

  7. Serial port on laptop HELP!!!!!

The "scaling" problem has NOTHING to do with the cable. Either your cutter device setup is wrong or the software you are using is incorrectly setup. If the scaling is the only problem then your cable is fine.

  9. GA 6.2 TT Font Converter

The GA / Omega TTF Converter only emunerates TTF fonts through the Windows system. So if there in the Windows fonts folder they should be seen. You may have a problem dealing with "Open Type Font" with the GA version. I agree with Fred, 500 is way too many fonts for the system to handle, when...
  10. Gerber users only.

Threeputt your killing me with the old versions but here it goes and I’m doing this from memory so it may not be exact. With Omega’s Composer (and Plot) you are allowed to select a number of components for your color management. Monitor profile Imaging progile – this would be an Edge or...

  12. PLT files

Not all PLT file extension files are created equal. Gerber has used PLT from the start. HPGL files also use the PLT extension, so just be mindful of this before purchasing anything.

I will answer this later tonight or tomorrow. Can we all say "color management".

I have it installed on my 3ghz 2mb 64 bit Dell. I have Vista Ultimate 64 bit OS installed and executing Omega 2.6. For the most part I hated it in the beginning because lots of stuff has changed name, where you find it, etc. The UAC (User Account Control) will driver everyone nuts.I finally...
  17. PhotoShop Interface

Just to repeat above but in simple terms - to cut directly from any program you need to have the cutter device driver installed. Roland is the first to come to mind. On the CoCut side they are using the "plug-in" architecture of Adobe or Corel. If other vector applications provide this...
  18. image thumbnail browser

Adobe has Bridge which I think started with CS or CS2. I does a bunch of file types and if you have Windows Explorer file viewer plug-ins / extensions it will support those also. Omega has a PLT file thumbnail view for Windows Explorer it is considered and "extra". Not sure you can get...

  20. Microsoft Expression

I have not downloaded the trial version yet but one thing it does quite smoothly is vector and imaging editing all in one package. Lots of fancy "brush" styles, etc.
