  1. How do you manage an employee who knows more than you?

oh and by the way, I was referring to you being new on here, not new to the sign biz. Hang out a while and you learn not to worry about Gino. He is harsh, take it or leave it.
  2. How do you manage an employee who knows more than you?

You are getting awfully defensive. Relax, take a chill pill. I never said I wasn't a noob, and I also never took off lambasting one of the OG's on the board that has given a lot of good advice and helped a lot of people. Watch who you fly off the handle at, because you may need some help...

  4. sp540v service call 0106

I am bumping this up to the top. OLD thread, but I just received this error (0106) on my CJ540 and of course, the machine is definitely not under any warranty. Can anyone help guide me on how to fix this myself?
  5. Anyone want to trade likes on FACEBOOK?

    Ouch... have fun with that.
  7. black in spots and overspray

I have the Roland eco-sol inks (at least the black is). I have been slowly changing them out as I run out of inks. The new brand I have been switching to is Solaris Max-Live Genesis. However, both of my black cartridges are still the original Roland brand. Which brand did you have issues with?
  8. black in spots and overspray

Well, I brought my test print into my local supplier (Regional Supply) and they were pretty helpful. They suggest this is not lint but rather a print head issue. Figured I would post up the outcome for anyone else who might want to know. Their suggestion: Do a manual clean, take the swab...
  9. black in spots and overspray

I have read up on a few posts about overspray. I have done 2 manual cleans, also took an led light and checked for lint. I did happen to find two stray teeny tiny pieces of fiber. I removed all that I could see and printed again. Still getting this bad black print. Does it still look...
  10. A big signs 101 shout out!

+1 Always great help here on signs101. :goodpost:
  11. cannot print crop mark error

Thanks Bobby. It actually did that error again. It printed the file, then when I went in and changed the size, tried to print it, and it gave me the error. I fixed it by deleting it off the queue and then adding it to the queue again. It then printed with the crop marks.
  12. cannot print crop mark error

Must have been an issue with the file. Went in and re-saved the file, it works now. I would delete the post but don't have that ability. Thanks!
  13. For those I'm helping

    Sorry for your loss.
  14. cannot print crop mark error

Getting a new error on my Roland Cammjet 540. It always worked flawlessly before, but now when I try to print crop marks for print/laminate/cut it keeps telling me "can't print crop, continue" and then the enter symbol. It will just print the job when I enter. Any thoughts on how or why...
  15. Vehicle Wrap

:goodpost: I just completed my first solo, but I have to admit, I like having a second set of hands to help out on some of the larger panels. Maybe as I get more practice and get better this will change. yeah, tried wrapping a hood outside while it was pretty windy. Won't do that one...
  16. Vehicle Wrap

There are several different wrap "classes" offered. I took one from Oracal that was offered locally. It still only barely scratches the surface, but it is a good start. You can learn a lot from them, like types of vinyl, what not to do etc.
  17. Tasmanian Devil

Hahaha. You guys always make my day.
  18. matte black, carbon fiber suppliers?

Giving this thread yet another bump Just used the Hexis carbon fiber on mirrors, hood and soon to be roof. Not terribly impressed so far. It is relatively easy to work with, and does come back to shape with heat, but it also isn't sticky enough (like Flame mentioned). If you have an area...
