  3. where to purchase good canvas and what type to get

Ok, I have a client that wants a canvas banner, he is hanging it from the wall inside his shop. He already has one that he showed me and it has a very matte finish. I went to my local supplier and he showed me a few samples of canvas, and the economy canvas looked like it was a match. I...
  4. what I really want for Christmas...

+1 99% of what I have now is all self taught. I need to take courses, but with a full time day job, 2 boys, and the sign biz, I have a hard time finding time for ANYTHING.

  8. Versa Works Contour Cut is Driving Me Crazy!

I had the same problem but it was as easy as bringing the cut path to the top layer. Seemed to fix it for me.
  9. Printing grey scale

It is kind of funny to see this as I just had a client send me his logo, which is gray/black with some color lines. (I'll have to get a picture). The first print was very green, so I tried a few other profiles, and some were much closer to gray, but I still had to adjust the colors and even...
  10. Wrapping a Lancer Aspire

Did you ever try the avery? You mentioned that you were waiting on a sample from them. Just curious how that turned out.
  11. Wrapping a Lancer Aspire

Uh oh, crossed a barrier? Is UScutter a no no? Sorry, but when my local supplier quotes me $300 more for the exact same material shipped from the exact same place I go in seach of better. When someone else can get me a decent price with decent shipping, I go with them :thumb:. In fact, i...
  12. Wrapping a Lancer Aspire

Yep, I got mine from UScutter.com. Not sure if they ship there, but I think they do. I'm almost certain I was an international tab on their site. They had the best deal as well (between 3 different online sites and my local dealer).
  13. A little something about you....................

Haha, I had to go check my profile as well. I would imagine it is like Fred said, people are coming here for one basic answer. Perhaps some of them stay, but then never consider checking their profile again. It is just something a lot of people really never think about once they are into the...
  14. Wrapping a Lancer Aspire

Orange could definitely be nice. Have you ever worked with the 970RA? I LOVE it. Just did a roof wrap on a 2006 Sentra. It turned out nice and the material is a breeze to work with, extremely forgiving.
  15. Ever see a wrap go this bad?

Not trying to stir the pot, but could you be more specific about how inexperience can cause this kind of failure? I am just starting out with wraps, and would love to know more information on what could cause this failure and how to avoid it if possible.
  16. What formula do you use to quote a job?

  19. Roland CJ-540 missing media rollers

Do you have a link or a website address? - edit - never mind, I think I found them. TY!! That was more the price I was thinking would be legit, after all, aren't they basically gravity rollers?
  20. Roland CJ-540 missing media rollers

I purchased a Roland CJ-540 used about a year ago, and unfortunately it did not have the media rollers that hold/feed the media. I got a quote from a local supplier of $199 each roller plus shipping (I need 2). This supplier is notorious for overpricing (they just gave me a price of $835 for...
