  1. Roland cj-500 converted to sj-500

On the material size, It may just be a matter of pinch roller placement. You have to have the pinch rollers set right. You need to make sure you have the pinch rollers just in from the edges of the material. There are small silver boxes (rectangles) along the machine just above where the...
  2. Not much of a wrap but great car, and great guy.

You refused to drive the car??? Why!!! I would have been dying to take it for a drive. I love the audi's. I dream of owing an R8. *sigh* I like it, it's subtle. I agree, I probably would have done a flat black or even gloss, and not the carbon, but I also understand the carbon, I have a...

Inkjet Auction, Thank you so much for your suggestion of the battery. Using that information I called Roland (who are WONDERFUL, even though my machine is old) and they told me what to look for. I took off the back panel and found the battery (not the small one on the ethernet board, but a...

  10. Automatic cleaning stuck in a loop - please help

I am currently having a very frustrating issue with my Roland CJ-540. I have replaced the motor and the encoder sensor. I am trying to run the intitialize program to get it all working again. My problem is that as soon as I turn on the main power, the machine turns itself on to run the...

  12. Question about scan motor compatibility

Thank you for the reply. Yes, I figured it could be the sensor, just wanted to rule out the motor first since I had just replaced it and this error was not showing prior to this point. Do you supply the sensor? Thank you again. Rachel
  13. Question about scan motor compatibility

I have recently had to replace the scan motor on my CJ-540. I got the scan motor with the part# 7811909010. Apparently this is for the FJ, but from what I can tell when doing a search for the scan motor, they are compatible. Can anyone tell me if this is the case? Can I use a scan motor for...
  14. Service mode roland sp540v firmware 7.30

turn off the sub power again and start over. You have to kind of "reset" it before you do it again. With the power off try it again - down, right, left, up, right, down, left Then hold all three (down, left, right) and the power button all at the same time.
  15. Screw you 3M.

I agree, to a point, but if we all lived life your way then we would never be here in the first place. Owning a business and keeping it running, especially in this economy, takes guts and persistence. Life is about standing up for yourself and what you believe in, not folding your tail between...
  16. Info on past Avery failures

I am assuming that site is no longer up. I too was interested in what happened with the big Avery issue since I came on here after it was over.
  17. black in spots and overspray

Actually, I am going back to OEM inks. I did a little research and decided this was a better way to go for me. Yes, the heads are capped properly. The print now looks just fine. Thanks for your help. My supplier never said a thing to me about not mixing inks, so I was unaware that this...

I was kind of thinking the same thing.
  20. black in spots and overspray

In the long run, I got if fixed. The best fix was actually the suggestion of taking a bright led light and shining it on the heads. I found a teeny tiny thread there. I think that may have been the culprit. I did another head swab, and another cleaning. The print looks great now.
