3 Reasons NOT to get "into" doing that stuff.
A) It's illegal without permission.
B) There are TONS of people doing it with tiny cheap machines from their home or Mall Kiosk.
C) ebay is Saturated by folks offering them.
Exact same thing happened to us within days of wrapping a Van. The rain water had made it's way from the roof line down into and along the small rubber joint which pooled up half way down the wrap.
And those were just the A through D section of their Sent List. Though, scraper programs can grab all that stuff from yello book for any specific criteria you want...nation wide.
So it's not as though it's hard to get an email list.
He may not have realized he needed a license to print and therefor it may be a little premature to say he shouldn't steal someone's art. There are many unlicensed camo patterns out there.
Bushwolf has a similar set of patterns to that particular style. Those you provided look very similar as...
Apparently starting January 2, 2019 HP Onsite Support is having FLAT RATE for repairs on Out Of Warranty Latex Printers. The price doesn't depend on the time it takes to fix or the cost of the parts.
The driving factor in the price is the RESPONSE time you need it in.
3-5 Business Day Response...
Matte Black Spray Can of PlastiDip from Walmart or Lowe's will do the trick. Cheap, easy fix. Will add grip for stepping and won't chip like paint. No need to buff the surface either.
My/Our experience:
(Only Cast materials will be here with exception of a Polymeric Calendered.)
3M 180mC (micro comply) easier than 180 regular but not as much as I'd like.
3M 180C-V3 (too aggressive, release from liner is more difficult) not the best white point with laminate seems to shift...
How long is it before they come back to you? A year...a month...a week?
You void any kind of solution from BOTH material manufacturers if you use non-compatible materials (ie. 2 different brands).
3M IJ 35 is a PERMANENT adhesive.
Not sure why you or your supplier thought either of those...
Exactly my point. (my comment you were quoting was sarcasm). Someone on here thinks more overhead = higher prices.
Tim Toad said: "And BOTH (overhead & material costs) need to be incorporated into the price if one expects to fully cover all the costs and expenses related to opening and...
I guess that means the small shop will charge 1/24th what a large shop will for a wrap if we're rolling in all our overhead into the sq.ft. price.
You do what you gotta do to make it happen buddy. There is a general market value that does not correlate to the size of the shop.
I get where...
That's the problem, unless those rights are spelled out in the contract...you can expect all you want, that doesn't oblige the designer to give you any files.
I'm not saying whether or not someone should or should not give them, I'm simply stating who has LEGAL rights to them.
I'd say it's the surface from the factory rollers...preventing total ink coverage. (plasticizers?) The only difference between 35 & 35c is the adhesive, not the surface...so that's not the problem. It's likely a problem with that batch. Start a case with your 3M rep...give them the lot #...
Do NOT use the 8508 on 3M 40c...use 8518.
Considering these are going on truck DOORS and not hood, roof, etc...they should last plenty long.
That being said...your customer said to "use the good stuff"...so I'm wondering why you don't just go with a Cast vinyl and overlam. Why are you wondering...
