Although SSD's excel in just about every aspect when compared to HHD's, I believe the longevity of SSD to be considerably less than that of HDD when used for storage of data that is written and overwritten a lot. In other words, what Wild West said is certainly worth consideration.

Grimco's pricing is a bit high as it is on a majority of products but unfortunately we use them for a lot of things because they are the only company in our area that delivers substrates.
If you're only warming the glass to 70-80 degrees or so, I can't see this really being much of a concern. Especially if the heater is far enough away to warm the entire glass surface.
Then something is possibly wrong because when you click the on /off button on our CJV 150-130 it turns off and stays off until you go to cut the media off of the roll.

You should have your sales rep send a sample to test if you don't have any of that material laying around already. That's the only way to really know, as styrofoam may fall under the category of low surface energy plastics.
