  1. Having trouble getting Oracal opaque vinyl

If you order from US Cutter, you might want to ask about shipping delays. I just got an email saying that their Memphis, TN warehouse is without internet and electricity so they are temporarily closed.
  2. Having trouble getting Oracal opaque vinyl

UsCutter.com has two 24" rolls in their Memphis warehouse and one 24" roll in their Seattle warehouse. If you need a 15" roll, they have one left in Memphis and none available in Seattle.
  3. Font ID

It appears to be Tiffany Heavy that has been condensed.
  4. Scam Email or not?

This is absolutely a scam. We get these emails at least once a month for either banners or screen printed t-shirts and they all sound more or less exactly the same.
  5. Pole sign materials and mounting suggestions

Ornamental Post & Panel www.ornamentalpost.com They have the posts, decorative finials, decorative bases and they can custom fabricate any of their stock (or maybe even custom) bars to either mount to the post or they can weld it to the post. Lots of options.
  6. Question Problem with Orajet 3951RA

I agree. We use Orafol almost exclusively in our shop. Problems with our central air system were causing the sudden spike in humidity. We didn't notice at first, as certain areas of our shop can tend to be a little warm in the summer because we screen print apparel here also.
  7. What made you smile today

Same as my daughter. She'll be 22.
  8. Ugh....WHY!?!?!

I actually did explain why I was purchasing one blank to the same person I requested a discount for 117 more from so I was a little surprised to receive these but it's all good. The blanks are nice and they'll work now that I hammered through them and removed all the plastic. Heck, most times...
  9. Ugh....WHY!?!?!

The blanks are really nice but the cover sheets not so much.
  10. Ugh....WHY!?!?!

I think they just sent me these fuzzy ones because I called and asked for a discount. They gave me the discount...boy did they ever.
  11. Ugh....WHY!?!?!

I get that. I mean we get polycarbonate sheets with sawdust stuck to them and whatnot, but this was a surprise to me, especially after the sample I ordered had the typical pink plastic covering and no plastic fuzz. I would obviously prefer the sheared and punched blanks that we normally always...
  12. Ugh....WHY!?!?!

The blanks are actually very consistent and nice, but these little particulate pieces of blue plastic are sticking to everything.
  13. Ugh....WHY!?!?!

Due to an almost constant lack of satisfaction with Grimco, we made the switch to Wensco recently. Unfortunately, Wensco doesn't sell these blanks, so I had to use Grimco. We would get so much damaged product from Grimco, it was crazy. Some were the shipper's fault, but most of it came out of...
  14. Ugh....WHY!?!?!

In nine years in this business I have never once received sign blanks that weren't sheared. Normally, no cleaning is required. These are a stock item, not custom.
  15. Ugh....WHY!?!?!

I ordered 118 12" x 6" x .080" pre-painted sign blanks for some parking lot signs that will have a number and letter combination applied in 4" tall blue vinyl letters. This should be a pretty easy straightforward job. Then I saw the blanks Grimco sent me. Apparently, they must be CNC machining...
  16. Need Help American Flag vector file

Although I've really never taken the time to learn Inkscape because I do most of my vector work in CorelDraw, I am familiar with the vector trace features of Inkscape and they are fantastic. Wikimedia Commons is becoming a very useful resource. I'll usually check there for images first, as...
  17. Alternatives to backlit panel?

This is what I'd like to do. However, the existing panels have full coverage graphics. It's green and white, so I'm not sure if they used cut vinyl or if it's printed to match a specific color, but if the vinyl is removable, I'd be all for this.
  18. Alternatives to backlit panel?

I'm not sure. I didn't have time to call our suppliers today to check on size options, but I'm going to ask about that and pans tomorrow. I'm also not sure how polycarbonate stock is looking at the moment. That might be a factor.
  19. Alternatives to backlit panel?

I usually just figure it's easier to duplicate what's already there. With the size being 8 feet in either direction, I'm not sure if that's an option that is readily available to us without freighting it, but that being said, I'll look into this.
  20. Alternatives to backlit panel?

Well, I definitely don't want cheap and the customer is a municipality so even they have no intention of going that cheap. I'm listening to exactly what the customer wants. They want to know if there is another substrate that would be more economical since they don't plan on lighting it. I'd...
