Anybody know why when I send a job to the plotter the pen moves 3 yards or so down the vinyl before it starts to cut????? I set origin point at bottom right but it ignores this. Appreciate input, thanks.

Yes, I posted my progress, Tony, and the solution. Don't keep the old dongle that you had your 4b hooked up to your old desktop with. Don't need it with FlexiStarter. Now, if you know why the 4b cuts deeper in the horizontal than the vertical cuts life will be in balance again.

Anyone know why the 4B would cut deeper in vertical cuts than horizontal, (or vice versa)? And better yet, how to adjust it? :toasting:

I used to have this 4b hooked to my old computer with a dongle I got from Gerber and it is still on the line. Do I need to remove that dongle now with this setup? It is in between two serial ports and the end that used to connect to my computer now connects to a converter to usb to the laptop.

I've been told I should not use HS but rather GS because the 4B is slow and the HS is "High Speed". Correct?

I just got flexistarter and have been reading through it....there is a weld feature....check that "Help" thingy up on top. Its in one of the items listed. Actually, just rechecked, it is under the "Advanced" tab in the "cut/plot" screen.

I've got a serial converter to usb to my laptop. In Flexi I adjusted the speed to slow and that worked. Now the plotter just doesn't draw accurately and the size is not the same as what is set in the parameters in the cut/plot window.
