  1. Die cut reflective stickers

    Dang..maybe if we asked nicely?
  2. Subbing out Translucent Digital Prints for re-face in Florida

My experience with trying to reuse old signs faces is don't do it. Nothing but headaches, but the client thinks they're saving money. If it were me I'd bid new pan faces with second surface graphics. They will last longer than the business.
  3. Discussion Powersports Chrome

Quick Google search: https://holographic-vinyl.com/ https://carwrapsupplier.com/product-category/holographic/ https://vvividshop.com/collections/holographic-automotive-vinyls I'd like to try their gloss carbon films.
  4. 315 latex rich black?

Not latex but for the digital press, flatbed and roll to roll in the lab we use 30/30/30/100. Otherwise known as superhero black. It would be a good place to start. Proper profile for the media is a big help.
  5. Die cut reflective stickers

    Does Firesprint print/cut reflective?
  6. Non-compete

I used to sub out big installs(pylons, boom lift, sub-grade etc..) to another company. They offered to make magnetics with my logo to cover theirs when on site. Never had them do it and I ended up just referring those types of jobs and getting a referral fee.
  7. Micro Dot for Wall Lettering or..?

Has anyone used the Micro Dot from Big Fish for wall lettering? Client wants their logo put on an office wall. Size: 36" x 76". Color: white. Prefer to use the Micro Dot since it's easy to install and won't damage the surface when removed. For paint testing purposes I made a comp with...
  8. Mutoh-Wall Vinyl issue

Could be the heater or ink load. Depending on environment/storage some products will "tunnel".
  9. Round aluminum sign blanks

I use LaserForm in Green Bay. Supply them with a DXF file and material specs and you're good to go. Best part is they are a full fab shop. Need custom metal anything they can do it.
  10. Suggestions Custom Lock Out Tag Out tags

The tags themselves can be made of laminated paper or plastic. If it were me I'd give it a go, but I do like a challenge.
  11. G-Mail Alternative

GSuite apparently since our email ends in .com. Last time I used any of the tools was during lockdown. Students would send packaged files through Drive but the campus recently switched everything to Microsoft. Other than that it's strictly mail and not much at that since clients text or...
  12. G-Mail Alternative

Wifey is going to look into it when she gets back. She just confirmed we use GoDaddy.
  13. G-Mail Alternative

Going to talk to the wife and have her contact our hosting service. She manages those accounts so I have no clue what they do or do not include. IIRC we use GoDaddy
  14. G-Mail Alternative

I will look into that. Thanks for the tip.
  15. G-Mail Alternative

To be clear I'm not tech savvy when it comes to this kind of thing. Might be something obvious that I already have and will work. Gmail has decided to go subscription and their "free" option looks difficult to get. Sign up on a waiting list, wait for the overlords to contact you, blah blah...
  16. First time printing on translucent

Yup, or reverse print on clear, apply second surface then "laminate" with white vinyl.(needs to have white adhesive side)
  17. Mimaki JFX200-2513. buy or no buy?

I run an older(about three years) JFX in the lab at school. Dead slow but gorgeous prints. We're running CMYKW and varnish. Not sure if there have been any speed improvement with the latest model. No real issues to speak of. One small ink leak and the heads were replaced. Head replacement...
  18. Grommet machine for XL building banners with webbing

I sub out big banners. Way less hassle on my end. Besides I don't have the equipment to weld 2" webbing into hems.
  19. Bordeaux ink sale for Mutoh, Mimaki, and Roland printers

Okay, thank you for the quick reply. Looks like I'm going back to third party when the MS31's run out. MS31 was supposed to have less smell, which is why I tried it, but it doesn't.
