  1. Ink Leaking/Bypassing

Fixed it. Drain line was clogged by a big piece(~4") of petrified ink. At some point I'll probably have to get another chunk of hose. I have my theories on why this happened. If it doesn't clog with the new ink I'll have my answer.;)
  2. Ink Leaking/Bypassing

Cleaned out some crud but it still barfs out ink. Pump seems to be plenty strong just not getting much flow through the drain lines. They are almost ink free at this point and I can see dribbles of clear cleaning solution going through them.
  3. Ink Leaking/Bypassing

Thanks for the tip. I'm going to clean that right now.
  4. Ink Leaking/Bypassing

Got a weird one. This started after printing a trailer wrap if that's a clue. During auto clean or manual clean ink comes out of this plastic piece.(see arrow). It is below and to the left of the wiper blade. There are two holes in it (covered in ink in the photo). Drain lines from capping...
  5. Roland Flatbed Printer

For an entry level printer I'd look at a Mimaki JFX200-2513EX. 8 grand less MSRP than the Roland and most likely worlds ahead in quality and reliability. I run the previous version 2513 in the lab and it's been a workhorse. Albeit a slow workhorse but it hasn't required anything other than...
  6. Bad Business Practices

Chill out. Posting the same thing twice won't get you much love around here. We get it, you're PO'ed but patience pays off here. Lots of sharp folks on this forum that will be along when they get a free minute. BTW It's Friday. Call it a day, enjoy the weekend.
  7. Need Help RasterLink 7 - Variable Data

Set up VDP in InDesign or Flexi. Rasterlink is...well mom always said "If you can't say anything nice don't say it"
  8. Need a better banner material

Nah, JetFlex has been buckling on my Mutoh. Usually it's gone after the first few feet or so. Couple times I've had to unspool banner behind the printer to stop it buckling. Something changed, I've run a lot of JetFlex through my 1624x with no issues until lately. Heat, vacuum, nip pressure...
  9. Need a better banner material

Interesting...all I use is JetFlex 13oz. I will say the last two rolls had buckling issues the first few feet. I'm going to see what recommendations you get and try something else too. I'm not brand loyal. Whatever brand works with no hiccups or callbacks is what I buy.
  10. Gaming Trailer Graphics

I no longer deal with work involving copyrighted anything. did some of that years ago and the paperwork was mind numbing and took the profit out of the job. Also not worth the migraine trying to explain the legalese to clients that think it's okay to use 'cuz they found it on the...
  11. Porter Cable router for Gerber Sabre

Might try a web search for electric motor repair shops in your area. Armatures can be turned to clean up the surface and brushes are no big deal.
  12. HP L360 powered by generator?

If it isn't sine wave output I wouldn't do it unless I ran it through a line conditioner.
  13. Porter Cable router for Gerber Sabre

Do you have a spindle or router now? Two completely different animals. Like Netsol said if you have a spindle see about getting it rebuilt or replaced.
  14. Summa cutter - flex cut

New blade, proper stick out of blade then play with the settings. 400g is way too much pressure. I'm dialing in a new CleanCut blade. Kiss cut is 75g and FlexCut is 90-95g. There is no silver bullet. You have to spend the time to dial in your media, blade and machine. Recently there was...
  15. Proclaim Flag Day as a Federal National Holiday

Veterans Day and Memorial Day are the most important to me. Think about that for a while.
  16. Print and install perf on interior?

Panorama film from Continental Graphics. Made for inside mounting with double stick tape. No jerkin' around with print on this then adhesive that, back up with double hit white BS blah blah blah.
  17. Lettering on top of trailer

Airplanes are 500' minimum altitude. When I was lettering police cruisers they wanted the "helicopter numbers" on the roof as big as humanly possible.
  18. How many is too many...emails

Same with texts. After a barrage of texts from a client I texted back "The worker bees are busy". Worked like a champ and will get used in the future.
  19. Summa S One D60 Bad Cuts

Blades have a specific offset. Changing it randomly will only cause issues. Also check and make sure the head isn't loose.
  20. Wall wrap tools?

Go to your local hobby shop and look at model airplane wheels.;).
