3220 is a nice laminate. We've been running Arlon products for years and like the gloss of 3220. Lays down well without silvering. Over the years we've run them all and kept coming back to Arlon.

I trim to the edge then seal the edges with ClearShield. Works a treat and no call backs. Also makes it harder for folks to pick at the edges and ruin the sign.

Gino is on point. Get an engineer to design it for you and follow those plans to the letter. Structure has to be built for the wind load in your area. Last thing you want to do is guess and the next big storm ends up "air freighting" the panels and/or structure. Bill has the best suggestion...

All kinds of fail including crashing the RIP for the Indigo. Takes a minimum 20 minutes to get it back on line. More recently there has been some BS going on with Adobe Typekit. Some of the Adobe fonts will crash SmartStream. Typekit fonts were always safe and always worked. Not anymore.

A lot of the free fonts create issues. I see it in the classroom all the time and warn students not to use "free" fonts. It's all fine until we start to impose the file or send it to one of the RIP's in the lab. When a project fails, more times than I care to count it's a font related issue...

Can't those be done with a UV flatbed? Years ago someone on this forum was an early adopter of the flatbed tech. He printed doormats, tennis shoes, t-shirts or anything that would clear the print heads. Did a land office business selling logo'ed doormats to forum members.
