  1. Need Help Oce ink bags being rejected.

I can't seem to find any bulletin regarding this. Do you have a link? Then, I could follow this up with the technician.
  2. White uv in not curing when lowering opacity

I'd have similar issue on my Arizona when trying to reproduce a "frosted glass" effect. When using minimal white ink the adhesion was worse than using full white. I believe this is due to ink volume needing to be enough to allow ink crossbonding —More ink = more material to bind to. You might...
  3. Need Help Oce ink bags being rejected.

At the time, our technician just changed the RFID board and that fixed it. Coincidentally enough, I'm having the same issue 5 years later. I changed the ink bay PCB, reset cables, and changed out all ethernet cables to no avail. I haven't swapped RFID boards yet because the problem happens...
  4. Alcohol streaks in UV prints

Don't hand wipe. Use a random orbital sander with foam pad. Follow that up with compressed air gun over the material to remove any debris that could shed from the foam but also ensures that the primer is dry and evenly coated.
  5. Toshibatec CE2 for Océ Arizona

Tech came and did the installation, which was well worth it. We didn't need horizontal recalibration as the fit was already very tight, even with the vertical alignment we managed to guess correctly in the first go and it didn't need any further adjustments. All-in-all, I feel like the...

  7. Toshibatec CE2 for Océ Arizona

I just ordered the same head from Digiprint but for my 460. We'll see how it goes. I don't have a service key but just connected a keyboard to access Windows registry editor to get a glimpse of what needs to be amended and whether I can manage myself or get a tech, depending on what Digiprint...
  8. Procedure for draining coolant from Arizona 2280

How'd this go for you? I'm planning on changing my own print head (460xt) so looking for insight into this. I don't believe you need to drain coolant but maybe use a vise grip clamp to prevent leakage otherwise you could cause a big mess
  9. Oce Arizona - Magenta printhead problem

I raised this as a possible issue with our technician. He didn't know himself but went back and discussed it with his colleagues and it turns out Canon has had certain production batches of magenta that are defective. I guess this is a global issue but for $ome rea$on they haven't issued a...
  10. Oce Arizona - Magenta printhead problem

Interesting. Too bad I don't have spare ink but I do have a filter. I'll try this to see if it makes any difference. True, I was hoping to avoid this as I was planning to sell this machine in a few months, but I think I'm overdue for a realignment. Another interesting thing I found was when...
  11. Oce Arizona - Magenta printhead problem

The magenta printhead on my Oce Arizona 460xt is printing blurry and misting. I've seen this posted elsewhere where the suggested problem was that the printhead must not be at the same height as the others, but from my own inspection I cannot see any difference in height between them. I'm not...
  12. Oce print head

Did you see a nozzle status photo or see it in person before you purchased it? If the missing nozzles change, that is a good sign they are recoverable.
  13. Oce print head

Wouldn't all new printheads cost more than the machine itself? These printheads are soo expensive that I'd be trying everything possible to recover nozzles before replacing printheads! You're going to need to buy consumable parts at some point anyway, so why not replace your pumps and filters...
  14. Acrylic

Orabond is the name of the product line. 3m makes a similar product that works just as well https://www.orafol.com/en/europe/products/orabond-1391pp
  15. Acrylic

Orafol1931PP is what I use. Very quick and easy to apply by hand.
  16. Arizona 4xx service manual

Yeah, I'm aware it's quite the process to move one. We planned to contract this out to the same technicians that installed our machine. Probably looking at between €10-12k for the whole job. I approached Canon for the decommissioning and they weren't even interested in quoting us for the work...
  17. Arizona 4xx service manual

Going to be moving our 460XT sometime this year. If I could get a service manual that'd be greatly appreciated.
  18. Looking for Canon Oce Arizona feedback

Is there a distinction in service you receive whether you are on a Service Contract or not? I'm under the impression it doesn't include consumables, labor, or travel.
  19. New flatbed help

Also, speaking from my own experience, I'd used non-oem inks in my Oce Arizona, for reasons due to better adhesion and not costs, and it ended up costing 10k+ more over the course of 2 years, from having to replace a couple of printheads, to added time getting my nozzles all firing each day, to...
  20. New flatbed help

Myopic thinking. It's like picking up pennies in front of a steamroller. Maybe you'll pick up a few but eventually, you'll get run over. The ink costs on UV even at $1.50/sqm must have a negligible effect on your profitability otherwise your margins are nonexistent and you really have nowhere...
