they absolutely overfill every bag. In the FB series they want to ensure that you get 3 liters from every box. The smart chip does not subtract any ink when the unit is serviced, or power off and vacuum is lost. The smart chips actually read and write...but cannot account for some ink lost...

not sure why you are laminating a premium paper. seems like a waste of money to me...the premium paper is probably micro-porous...that's why the paper does not like thermal laminates.

download a 30 day demo of onyx or caldera to get yourself running. That's one of the problems with software when it expires you are unable get support. I don't disagree with that policy, its how they make money and quite frankly they are upgrading for revenue purposes and also to stay current...

be careful with sentient inks...they build up algae pretty often in the subtasks. If you have a bulk ink system on your printer, its recommended to swap tanks every year...

have you created a media type on the printer? run an automatic head and feed calibration?
