If this is going into a school, I would look to an HP Latex printer. They have a print and cut bundle that ships with a rip that never expires and has lifetime upgrades available. It HP's version of Flexi. An eco solent printer will have some oder and may not be suitable for a school environment.
screen printers can be that cheap...low overhead...that's why a lot of schools have simple 1/c signs for seniors...at least around me they do..I have a flatbed...150+ wholesale to another printshop is $5 but you provide the stake...
clone a banner profile...name it oracle...tgis will give you the ability to run faster speeds with less ink obviously. You will need to adjust heater settings...and stand back when viewing :)

Never really advertised for walk in traffic...and family/friend jobs almost always become a headache one way or another. Recently been dabbling with social media. Who knew advertising actually works. Equipment and shop loaded for bear! But I am low overhead...its just me

this issue looks electrical to me. I would follow instructions above to...
get yourself Onyx...you have more available profiles from manufacturers if you choose to not create your own from scratch. Best support amongst caldera, Flexi, shiraz...
It could be a hardware issue related to cables/boards...or it could be static. What is the environment like? do prints hit the floor or TUR? Is the printer on carpet? What is humidity like in the room. That might be why its intermittent...the XC series is all metal...always have been prone to...
5 month old printer should be covered by a warranty. That does not mean they will replace the head for one missing nozzle but if you claim its been there since install, they might.
