I bought a new printer last month and decided to give my old jv3 to my screen printer to help him make more sales on small runs of decals for his clients. Along with the printer I gave him the computer with the Flexi photo print software. He found a plotter with an electronic eye (ROLLAND CAM...
Even today I found something strange in Flexi. In the default colour swatch at the bottom of the screen there are 3 or 4 greys. I was looking for a silver colour and when I clicked on them each one's name was not the colour but it said cut contour...there was even one that said perf contour...
Every once in a while on my old Flexi I could get a double cut and I always found it strange how it happens. With the new Flexi 19 within 1 week I have had 3 or 4 jobs with a double cut. I chose what I want as a contour cut and I only do it once. I wonder if there could be a slight keyline in...
Yes, your right... I found the solution in Program manager. You can pre set the profile and all your settings so each time you start a new file everything is pre set to basically what you want, although if you need to make changes you can do that in the print and rip area job by job
Sorry I may have worded it wrong. I have the profiles, what I found strange was that if I set the job up using any particular profile, later if I reopened the file it default back to the profile at the top of the list. I think I found something in the print manager that saves the settings and...
I am a bit confused about this. As some might know as I have posted a thread each day as new issues arise...I have moved from a Mimaki jv3 to a new Mimkai jv150. I also went from a 12 year old Flexi photo print to the subscription full package of Flexi.... Most everything is similar, but there...
I have questions as there are a lot of differences from my jv3 to this printer. Heat settings for 1 and profiles. I am only using one for now and it prints at 720 x 1080.... It prints great but I think the ink consumption is going to be a bit high at that setting. I also run Flexi so it...
Not according to Mimaki USA . I called and was told it does not turn off, which is not the end of the world, I juts don't like it rotating when not in use
Why does the take up roll have an off on switch? You press it, it stops until you let go of the button, then it starts again.... makes no sense...but I see in the control screen you can turn it off...but if you do it never turns on... How stupid is this?
Day 3 of the new printer and I have to...
I have Flexi as the RIP. Just found it odd that he was promoting this Rasterlink saying it has better colour management than Flexi. Hey so far the one profile I have ran for the past 2 days on Flexi is great and way better than my older printer so I am pleased with Flexi.
This is what I was told from the technician installing my new printer..... Why do I want it, if I still need to have another RIP to use my Summa.
I suppose I could use it for non cut jobs but why even bother....
All new software in a new computer.... On the last run I grouped all the bojects and it still moved that one piece to the left. This is basically my first print and cut job in this new system and I am worried that this is the sort of thing you don't catch until it is too late...hoiw many more...
I am going to post 2 pictures. I upgraded to the subscription Flexi and I have a new Mimaki printer. This is one of the first new jobs going through and I have never seen this on my old mimaki with the older software.

This file was a pdf file and you can see in one picture the production...
That is what I did... In my thinking it should have been perfect but possibly signlab has an issue with htis as I know I tried this many years ago and it failed then too.
I knew before I even attempted this that it would be troublesome. First I took a square and then duplicated and rotated the second square over the first...centred them to each other and ran the weld that only leaves the middle graphic. Designed the stop sign and printed.
Put down the first one...
