We start at $7.50/sq. for 13 oz. and $9.50/sq. for 18 oz. Pricing goes down from there depending on the total square footage of the banner. That being said the least we charge is $4.50/sq. for 13 oz. and $6.50/sq. for 18 oz. and that's only on banners over 144 square feet.
I'd say you're on the...
Thanks for all the replies. Knowing that Sharpies do fade and do so rather quickly, I was hoping to see some of these alternatives. My only hesitation with paint pens would be that they don' have a very fine point and a fine point would be nice since most of the touch-ups that ever need to be...
Absolutely. A lot of sign shops start off without an in-house printer and just order prints from a reputable trade printer, then apply them to the substrate. However, you'll find there is a bit of a learning curve when it comes to mounting prints, especially the larger and harder to handle they...
Every once in a great while I'll pull a print off the printer and I'll notice a light or white spot in the middle of a field of color where a speck of dust obstructed the print head. I'm just curious, how many of you attempt to touch up such things and if so, what do you use?
I like the fact...
We've got our email address on our website and I'll bet I get one or two scammer emails a week from t-shirts to banners. Occasionally I'll play along with their game for a little while just to amuse myself, waste their time, and tick them off. I think the funniest thing about the email scammers...
Tough to get a good finish using a brush or a roller? A roller should be no problem.
EDIT: What I mean by that is Rustoleum Professional self levels pretty smooth when applied with a roller from my experience, maybe not so much with a brush. But I'm not painting in Texas heat, either.
Ahhhh...the power of the world wide web is marvelous, isn't it? And it just gets better every day. I believe I first learned about tineye on here a few years ago and it's such a great resource.
Here's a free simple lesson that will help you tremendously in the future.
1) Take the image in question and open it in your photo editing program of choice.
2) Crop the image and erase anything that's not part of the image you're searching for as shown in the attached photos. Save the image to...
We've been using Key banner with good results for the last few years so I'm a little disappointed that they are discontinuing it. Good thing I recently restocked and have enough yardage to last the next several months until we find a replacement.
I know that RTape AT75 can be applied to the decal, rolled tight around a tube, and will still lay flat without tunneling when unrolled. It is plastic high tack tape with an "air egress" sort of cross-hatch pattern embossed into it though. I don't know how you or the client would feel about that...
In case you haven't already, you may want to try taping the leading edge of your graphic to the roller table with masking tape before you apply your app tape. We never have a creasing problem with our RollsRoller when taping cut vinyl, but this is the method I use to hold the front edge in place...
We use T&J Printing Supply. They have a location in Grandville, Michigan so that might work nicely for you as long as they keep a decent inventory there.
