  1. Roland XC-540 possible bearing problem, grinding

And no, Roland never made the bearings themselves obviously, but the OEM ones were made in Japan. The ones you have linked are made, and sold from China. Shall we take a guess on which are better quality?
  2. Roland XC-540 possible bearing problem, grinding

Those are the wrong bearings for an SP model, they are for the earlier ones...
  3. Roland XC-540 possible bearing problem, grinding

If you need them I have tested used bearings for £50 each including shipping. These are the OEM Roland ones, not chinese copies. Feel free to PM me if you are interested as I can send worldwide and take payment with paypal :)
  4. High Resolution side shots of trucks

google image search and search for high quality only
  5. print/cut alignment driving me crazy

It is worth a try but I have never fixed a printer this way. The cut carriage doesn't tend to pick up much dust or crud as the built in cover keeps it pretty clean. If it's not an encoder problem then it is the rollers
  6. 2023 Wrap Up. First Year Doing Sign Printing Business, No Experience, Gross 800K, Net 0, Need Advice!

That is ridiculous :( For the OP though, if they are turning over $800K a year, they should be making at least $300K clear profit on that if not more.
  7. Sticker for exhaust

The main problem with exhaust decals is from the heat on the adhesive. It's not so much the print being damaged, but heat can soften and then dry out the adhesive and make them fall off. They tend to be better on carbon silencers, but not so good on metal. Probably a main reason the main...
  8. Sticker for exhaust

They are only rated for 24 months use, not really suitable for an exhaust. The foil decals used on exhausts are screen printed onto the special foil material,
  9. Roland sp540i error code 0080

Scan motor errors on startup generally aren't caused by a bad strip. A bad strip will throw up other errors or give cuts in the wrong position.
  10. 2023 Wrap Up. First Year Doing Sign Printing Business, No Experience, Gross 800K, Net 0, Need Advice!

I think the main mistake you have made is setting up a large expensive shop capable of doing anything without actually seeing first if there is any demand for what you can produce. As you have now found out the machines are sitting idle making you no money and you are paying huge amounts for...
  11. Roland sp540i error code 0080

Normally a failed or failing scan motor. The only real option is to replace it. Try and get an OEM motor though, not the generic cheap chinese ones
  12. print/cut alignment driving me crazy

You may find someone who has old stock of OEM ones, they are normally around $120 each if you can find them still. All the others are chinese copies and aren't made to the same quality as the originals were.
  13. print/cut alignment driving me crazy

Paypal is fine for payment. It's not a cash app, it is the biggest payment provider in the world and you can pay via card etc.... You are also fully protected against items not arriving etc...
  14. Need Help JV150-130 Black color fading as the sheet prints

If you haven't changed the dampers in the last 6 months then just get new ones and change them. They are a service item so should be replaced fairly regularly anyway. It's not easy to test them really, so just replacing is a better option
  15. print/cut alignment driving me crazy

Are they OEM Roland, or the cheap chinese copies? The copies aren't very good and won't last. If it is from digiprint they will be the copies
  16. print/cut alignment driving me crazy

    Had PM'd you :)
  17. print/cut alignment driving me crazy

I would agree when the cut is off on the scan as it's normally down to that. This one is on the feed though, so the linear encoder shouldnt make a difference to that
  18. print/cut alignment driving me crazy

If it is front to back it is most likely the pinch rollers need replacing. Not just the rollers themselves but the black plastic part that holds them. These can warp or develop cracks, and it stops the vinyl feeding correctly. This is why you get different results each time you try and align it...
  19. Need Help Saving in PS as a tiff thats over the 4gb limit

The printers should be able to sort that out though with whatever rip they use for their printer. As long as they have the original complete artwork then they can sort out converting it
  20. Need Help Saving in PS as a tiff thats over the 4gb limit

Why not just go old school? burn the full size artwork to a DVD, or save to a thumb drive and post to the printer. Most places you can send a letter next day delivery for not too much. Let them deal with the tiling. By the time you have faffed around for a couple of days trying to sort this...
