  1. Mimaki JFX200 System Halt Error - SYSTEM HALT (*) 509 : HDC POSCNT

Sounds like maybe your Y origin sensor is malfunctioning and/or is physically out of place. It's the sensor that tells the machine it's back at the cap tops. Since you seem to be seeing the head not fully make it over the caps, maybe the flag the sensor detects has been knocked out of place or...
  2. Two Color Touching Bleed Set up

If you're using Illustrator, use the "offset path" function. It will create a bleed of whatever size you want.
  3. Mutoh 1638x need help

Heat is usually the culprit but since you've ruled that out, it could be a few things. The most common cause other than heat is skewing material. Make sure you're loading it as straight as possible and that the roll isn't telescoped. Make sure all of the pinch rollers on the media are down. On...
  4. Hello from The Mile High.

I've been in the sign industry in Denver for the last 15 years or so. A lot of the old timers are retiring I've noticed. A good time to take the reigns!
  5. Firmware Updating (UCJV300/UJF3042-6042 MKII)

Are you trying to update the firmware with the Mimaki Firmware Update tool or Rasterlink/User Software? The end user firmware updaters rarely work and that's usually the message you get. Also, some Mimaki dealers aren't servicing dealers so they don't have access to the proper files etc.
  6. Need Cjv 300 Plus backup csv file

Have you tried contacting Mimaki directly yet? You would need to give them the serial number so they can get the proper file but it's worth a shot to ask.
  7. What is wrong with this pdf...........................................................................

I opened it in Illustrator and it has 2 clipping masks that don't seem to be doing anything. When I deleted them and saved the file, it was 86kb. I don't have those fonts though so my file won't help you. Whatever program they used to make the file probably saves PDF weird.
  8. Mimaki JV150-130 just shut down

You most likely had a power surge that fried a couple things. The first thing to check is that the power supplies are outputting the proper power. They most likely are but it's worth checking. Other than that, you're going to have to throw parts at it unfortunately. It could be the I/O board...
  9. Another mid tone goes pink in the HP 315 and its eve of destruction, the advent of the 700.

It's a very common issue with CMYK printers and the solution is making your own profiles.
  10. Poli-tape poli-flex printing profile for JV33/CJV30

Haha no worries! Try any of the ones that say IJ180. Those are what I use!
  11. Maintinance help needed on Mimaki CG160 FX2 plotter.

No springs in Mimaki blade holders. You're probably right about the blade. The offset is the distance between the tip of the blade and the center of the shaft. If it's a cheaper blade maybe the tolerances are off. Also keep in mind that the offset is different for each angle blade so if you...
  12. My print keeps coming out about 1/2 in too long????

You can expect to be off in either direction on a print that long by about an 1/8th of an inch so it does seem like something is off. Feed calibration would be the first thing I check but if you're not getting banding in your prints, it's most likely not causing the issue. If you're using the...
  13. He Ain't Heavy... He's My PRINTER

As someone who has installed 100s of printers into many different types of locations, I can tell you, end users almost always underestimate the weight of the machine. I always say, we will need 4 people to lift the machine and when I show up there are always less than 4 and it's always a hassle...
  14. Software Questions

It sounds like whoever was doing it before just didn't have a ton of Corel experience because that can all be done in Corel. Welding is a basic function in most design software and I'm assuming he had issues with pixelization because he had the setting to downsample bitmaps turned on when saving...
  15. Poli-tape poli-flex printing profile for JV33/CJV30

Usually most glossy vinyl profiles will work well. 3m profiles for the JV33 series tend to print vibrant colors in my experience.
  16. Mutoh 1614 help needed

If ink is coming out of those 2 holes it means your main, large waste tube is clogged. You'll need to clear that out to get the station working 100%. Once that's clear and ink can flow properly, it should help clear some of the nozzles. Have you changed the dampers as well? If not, I would do...
  17. Mimaki UCJV300-160 issue (fuzzy lines)

Unfortunately it's in the service manual and I can't give those out to the public. Sometimes people will have them here on signs101 and they aren't restricted like I am. It's not too bad of a procedure. It helps to have long feeler gauges. It would be the whole carriage and then you can adjust...
  18. Mimaki UCJV300-160 issue (fuzzy lines)

Did you have it professionally installed or did you do it yourself? It might be a head carriage height issue. I've seen a few of these Mimaki UV machines need an adjustment out of the factory.
  19. VS 540 Printhead Replacement Question

I skip that part pretty much every time lol. I'm not 100% sure but in my many years selling and installing heads, we've found it's just a serial number.
  20. Cutting 100 sheets per day

Yeah it depends on your equipment. The top of the line Zund flatbed cutter will take a complete printed roll and cut every job automatically unattended. Mimaki and Graphtec have similar technology on their roll vinyl cutters. You load the roll, the cutter cuts the jobs and then sheet cuts them...
