The yellotools one works pretty well. The one with the teflon shoe is pretty expensive, but does work well. If you are going to go that route, you will need a larger overlap. I'd say nothing less than about 2". Look into doing but seams with dinoc. Can work in a very similar fashion. The...
I am 3m preferred, Lowen certified, 3m di noc certified, and Avery certified. I have also done many other wrap classes that don't offer certification. I think it depends on what you primarily wrap. If you only want to wrap vehicles, that's all they really work on in the Avery class. If you...
A 2010 Transit Connect without the roof is about 245 sq feet, and the roof is about 55 sq feet. However you charge for your wraps, this should help. Not a very difficult wrap. Some areas of the country get about $7 installed per square foot, and others over $12+ per square foot installed...
While it does make it easier if you fade it out to a solid color, we always try to get them to line up. Most of the time they line up very nicely. We do about a 1" overlap, and then use edge sealer tape on the seam.
Here is what I've posted on another thread about this.
We have installed a few rolls in the last couple months testing it out for our supplier. We have wrapped several trailers, box trucks, and 2 SUV's with it. The air comes out great, no issues like with the 180c. Its initial tack is actually...
We have installed a few rolls in the last couple months testing it out for our supplier. We have wrapped several trailers, box trucks, and 2 SUV's with it. The air comes out great, no issues like with the 180c. Its initial tack is actually kinda scary in how little it adheres. Even after...
So we purchased a 570 a couple months ago, and have a question about ink limits. We primarily only do wraps, and am having a hard time with the film whitening very badly with very little stretch. Doesn't matter if we use the Avery 1105 or 3M IJ180cv3. It does it the same with both. Our...
You can make a cheap pattern with transfer tape. Just get you a 24" roll or bigger and lay it on there as best you can. Then trace out the rough outline with a marker. Peel it, lay on the table or floor, and get the measurements you need.
I have wrapped one, if you search the site I am pretty sure we posted pictures of it. I think we were at like $2700 for the full color change wrap, but I don't remember the customers name to go back and check.
I am with you there. We had a 570 installed 2 weeks ago, and the material jamming unless you feet out a few feet is the same issue. I didn't have that with any of my Rolands. I am sure I will get used to it though
You can also cut the label and open the cart, roll the bag up like a tube of tooth paste and clip cart back together. Tab will work like normal as it gets empty again. It really is a lot of ink that gets left in the cart. Been doing this for years. Takes just a min once you start doing it
