Cadlink have contacted me. Signlab 10 to be launched in the UK on the 19th at the Sign & Digital show http://www.signuk.com/ I love Signlab but their has been some huge holes in it which is still a 32 bit programme. This has supposedly been addressed and has been upgraded to 64 bit so it will...
Yes it's on the way!!!! Well let's hope and pray that at last they are running a true 32 bit programme. Because it is about 5 years behind every other design software. SC
Is this a valuejet machine?
If it is that issue looks as if the printhead has died.
Replace print head and head cable and you will be back in business.
Don't use the machine whilst printing like this as it could blow the f2 fuse on the motherboard which is a pain to replace.
Also only use a...
I don't normaly comment on Mimakis but my info is relevant.
Before touching any of the cables please make sure the machine is unplugged and properly discharged.
The cables in these machines are very sensitive and can cause issues if badly seated.

Yes I agree this is some sort of plug in but their has been a lot of artwork sourced for this vehicle.
By the looks of things the artwork has had many hours spent on it to get the rust and signs of age in extly the right place.
My only issue with this particular wrap is its glossy finish.
It...
OMG
This is where I started!!!!
The company I originally started with at the heady age of 17 was heavily investing into Gerber products. The company that marketed them here in the UK was Spandex.
We would get all the upgrades like an additional box on top that held fonts and outline cards...
We had a similar enquiry regarding a fleet of thirty vehicles and cars.
The issue isn't about finding a cost effective material for the wrap, but more the costs of applying and removing.
It does not matter if it is a cheap material the application time will be the same regardless.
Also some of...
Yes I always found this strange as the bearings are sealed.
I have only ever greased my rails once on my VJ1604 in the 8 1/2 years I have owned the machine!
All greasing did was make a mess and promoted more stuff to cling to the rail surface.
All I do is keep the rails clean with some alcohol...
So glad to hear you have signlab now printing.
On a further note Signlab has changed very little over the years and still (even the latest version) is a 32 bit program which can run one processor only!
All signlab has really done is that it can run adobe plug-ins, which is really lame having to...
Here in the UK we have a similair thing which is called building planning permissions ran by the local council.
Personally I no longer get involved in it anymore!
I will give out plans and information to the client as requested, priced at my time.
This way the client physically sees the time I...
It is very rare for these to fail on by what looks like a bulk ink system, as you do not need to pull the carts in and out,
Also it could be the subtanks valves themselves.
They have a tendency to stick.
But I would more suspect a faulty maintenance station.
As I feel you may have jumped the...
I like the overall design.
But I am not too struck on the red/orange colour on the top part.
Also delete the "2015" as it looks like that is an after thought.
SC
Replace the entire capping station. Very rare their will be a damper problem. Your ink is wicking between colours. I bet it is the seal on the cap top. If you replace the entire capping station things should go back to normal. Just do it quickly as heads dry out quickly. SC
Still looks like material issue. Or maybe, has someone been using wax or silicon polishes near by? Polishes or cleaners that are wax or silicon based are banned out of our shop and production area for exactly this issue. The problem is if they have been used it is going to take a long time to...
What a good write up, especially by a user in the real world.
I have heard these machines are hard to load up and for short runs can be horrifically inefficient due to the amount of material wasted to load in.
As for the cost and replacement of heads, I have heard they are cheap by compare to...
