We have one, it gets used for quotes occasionally but that's about it. Always have to double check before going ahead with the job.
Also it doesn't work on glass very well or any surface that may deflect the laser.
I dabbled with the cell phone apps but the cameras in phones can't properly...
I just realized we have 4 laminators...
And I'm tempted to put dough through one of the really hot ones to see if I get a cooked pita on the other side.
I did 7 windows about 48x60 with the Polar at just below 0, printed on latex and laminated.
I didn't really have any issues with the stuff, no heat or application fluid.
I would consider SCPM3 as a medium tack, we use it as our go to premask. Grimco's house brand used to be really low tack, so much so that it caused us problems during install.
PDS has blank label material, just not sure about precut. But might have what you're looking for.

Edit: They sell Afinia printers as well so I would guess they would have it.
My experience has been that it's better just to print vinyl and mount it. We used to direct print magnetic on our Roland all the time but the HP was hit and miss with it. Head strikes into the edge of magnetic material aren't pretty.
I cut small magnets into strips and then chop the stacks on...
If you're just worried about the ethernet port on the Roland, wouldn't the easiest solution be a network line surge protector for like $30?
Just a passthrough for your network cable with a ground and voltage suppressor built in.
We throw this kind of stuff on our OKI, normally used for heat transfers. I believe they have an under 5k option with white ink. Just run on ULine clear labels, bonus if you can find precut to the size you need.
What printer are you using? I can see this happening if it's detecting a slight curve in the barcode across the front of the print and then compensating. Latex printers can have issues with straightness across the print.
Could also be the reflective material. Our Summa has issues with marks on...
We have the same problem with our Excalibur when cutting aluminum. The amount of pressure causing it to twist as FireSprint mentioned.
I found lubricating the wheels helps quite a bit. Also if someone is around, I'll have them lean onto the pressure bar as I cut it.
