Our purpose is to design decals and stickers for Electronic devices like laptops etc..And for that we will be using Self-Adhesive Vinyls from Oracal or LG, 3M etc. So even for sampling & testing in the desktop printer it has to be the same vinyl materials..we can't use anything else for...
Forgot to mention that we need this printer just for designing our samples. I mean I know this output will not be the same as the eco-solvent printers but this could be somewhat close to how we want it in the Eco-solvent printers.
So the process would be like designing our artworks using this...
Can any desktop sized pigment based ink printer printers like Epson SC-P407 print on printable Vinyls like IJ-180c etc? Or do we need a special ink to print on such vinyl?
Which printer do you use for designing your prints?

We are looking to add a desktop printer for sampling and proofing our decals/stickers print designs on vinyl and presenting to customers.
What desktop printers can print even on Printable Vinyl media? Any models from Canon or Epson that can print good even on Vinyl?
We have a few designs with lot of pure white colors to make the graphics (vehicle wraps) standout. As white doesn't get printed and the base vinyl's white is what gets highlighted but the vinyl (IJ180 series) is not as white as we would like for these designs.
So how do we print white colors...
Looking to print lot of graphics containing lot of white colors for vehicle wraps. Vinyls with bluish white tones are not looking great.
What's the smoothest and whitest cast film out there from brands like 3M, Avery, Oracal and even LG?
Can Avery overlaminates 1080z or 1060z be used on 3M 180 series films for car wraps? Anyone have any experience of mixing the 2 brands?
Also how is performance of Avery 1080z and 1060z overlaminates in terms of UV and overall protection of the prints? (with any vinyl, not specifically with 3M...
Nope..its matte but its got a slight sheen to it under lights. 8915 is like dead matte..nothing reflects from it..and that's how we want it for our current project..but sadly not available..looking if any other brand has an ultra matte version of laminate.
Looking for suggestions on some good printable Cast Vinyls from Avery, Oracal or even LG for High resolution printing with a good adhesive system that applies well on complex curves are smooth in finish. Will be printed on Eco Solvent/Latex. Looked at the 3M IJ180C like the pure white color of...
Have a lot of wraps which require an ultra matte finish. 3M 8915 Ultra Matte overlaminate is not available easily. Any suggestions on other Ultra matte laminate options from brands like Avery, LG or Oracal that would give the same smooth Ultra matte finish?
The pink is a printed color, not the original vinyl color. The original vinyl color is white on which the solid pink color is printed and then matte laminated. They have various other colors printed and sold as wraps like these...
