  1. Becoming a Roland Tech...

Depends on if you fix the problem or not. To get someone up and running again may be worth your time if it's within a safe distance.
  2. Enough is enough already............................

Also sick of it I've also had the misfortune of telling a customer that we use the best the market has to offer and in all my years haven't had a problem. Only to find out at least 3 other customers have been having problems with our magnets. Always swore by Magnum but now...nope. And those are...
  3. New Partial Wrap for Shop Truck

    Nice!
  4. Mutoh Wrap Class

Learning techniques from very experienced installers is NEVER a bad thing. But nothing beats putting days and months into wrapping on your own. You can watch someone play an instrument and explain as they go...but you can't learn it until you've put your hands to it.
  5. What's your preferance and why?

Hmm...ask your paying customers which they'd prefer. I'm willing to bet they'd go with the Cast every time for full wraps if the only difference in their cost was the difference in your cost of those 2 vinyls.
  6. PERMACOLOR® HORIZon™ Overlaminate "The most durable wrap laminate..."

Sound just like 3M's product 8548. It's their non pvc laminate. Longer lasting, higher clarity, good conformability, UV, acid, and scratch protection, etc.
  7. Avery Supreme Wrapping Film adhesive

I've never ever had a customer question the material I use. I tell them up front we use quality wrap vinyl and laminate because it's easier to work with for installation and we take pride in our work. I tell them happy customers are our best advertising. Why would they suspect us of shooting...
  8. Avery Supreme Wrapping Film adhesive

a little bird told me he it trying to get Avery to fix the opacity of their adhesive for those films.
  9. AVERY! You all warned me!

Had same "mottle" on all 3M, Oraguard, and Avery Laminates. Usually toward the end or beginning of rolls. The last time it happened, an Avery rep happened to come by the next day. He saw it on the final laminated print as well as the lam before applied to more prints. He took one with him for...
  10. Avery certified? Good or bad?

LOL I just did a 1 day "advanced supreme wrap Training" focused on "Paint Wraps" with Justin via Avery. Reason.... $250 which included $700 worth of Material...no brainer for me.
  11. Can one ever open corel files in adobe illustrator

New latest version of Corel doesn't like the latest version of Adobe, and vice versa. The files need to be saved out as earlier versions. CS3 seems to be pretty safe for Corel X4-X6. There's still a good chance that things like multiple layer clips, gradient blends, drop shadows etc, won't...
  12. Quality Installers?

I know a guy who is booked out weeks at a time. It's because he developed relationships with shops all over a 100 mile radius and markets himself professionally. No excuse for a skilled installer to be out of work when the demand is that high.
  13. Avery certified? Good or bad?

Learning techniques from experienced professionals in your trade is ALWAYS a good thing. Take what you like from it and leave the rest. Certification only helps in the eyes of potential customers and NEVER hurts you. I see no cons to it...only Pros. PS...Justin Pate has plenty of experience and...
  14. Fellers

Fellers has always matched or beat prices of other suppliers, in my experience. That just leaves you with the problem of your email turned into an order, which could have been an honest mistake by somebody down the pipe. If that's all it takes for you to say you'll never use them again...
  15. Our latest wrap on our shop truck.

It didn't jump out as SFM to me. I see it now after looking longer for the S...but the F is made with that little line...when I thought the F was the larger purple part on the left. Wrap design is awesome for sure.
  16. Quality Installers?

Having the same problem down here near Lexington. If I could be a traveling installer and call my own hours and rates...I wouldn't wanna be an "employee" anywhere either. It's an industry wide problem. Most experienced wrappers that work hourly for companies, making $10-$20 per hour just don't...
  17. Our latest wrap on our shop truck.

Love it. Clean, not too busy, but not boring either. It's engaging but not "Xtreme" lol Only thing is...I still can't figure out what the square part of the logo is all about.
  18. respecting territories

The fact you didn't know he had previous relations with that customer combined with the fact that customer, in spite of having previous relations with him, still chose not to use him for the job...is more than enough evidence that your "buddy" shouldn't even be thinking you did something wrong...
  19. Okay...Signs365 just pulled the most epic customer service job EVER

Brilliant marketing move for sure. With this many businesses in this forum that are their ideal potential clients, watching everything you do and say, it was the PERFECT marketing opportunity for them. Look what we've all read now because of that act. They'll more than make up for that trip in...
  20. Vehicle Wrap Font

It seems Bleeding Cowboy is the official font for the vehicle wrap industry whether in company logos or other marketing and branding graphics. Anyone else share my sentiments?
