Labor in China is like $1 an hour. They use aftermarket inks, and $500 solvent printers - it costs them next to nothing for material as well.
They also don't care about copyright, every design they sell isnt unique - you can get like 1000 batman stickers for $5.... Do you think DC is getting a...
Graphic card helps with Photoshop,.but currently not much else - especially if it's a rip computer.
And no, your monitor is what matters for colors - but you have to profile your.monitor and your printer to get them to be decent matches.
We buy direct from nikkalite on the USA.
gtamayori@nikkalite.com - this is George's contact information. Very knowledgeable and was a big help in getting us switched over.
Allgtaphicsuoplies sells it... For about double the price of buying direct. If you want to test a roll, I'll sell you...
You're running a latex, correct?
Latex prints on 7310 beautifully for us. On my Epson it'll be blotchy.. it doesn't hold ink. If youre trying on a solvent... Turn the ink percent way down and it'll work with no blotchyness. Of course that means you have to reprofile for acurate colors...
Or do...
There's 680 cr and ij680. The 680 is non printable - all that means is it's not guaranteed contaminate free and it can have splices.
We use hundreds of rolls of the stuff, both work fine... I think one time on the non ij series I had a hand print once though, so get ij if you can!
Also...
Download a profile for any reflective - not too familiar with the jv300 or it's profiles... kind of surprised there isn't one for 680 since it's popular. But some common ones to look out for -
Oralite 5600, 5700
Nikkalite 4801
3m 5300, 3290
Avery v4000.
I'm sure one of those will have a...
I didn't get a chance to do my Windex experiment...so I'll contribute in the boring way!
I just had a job from someone I do a lot of work with - This is my "Side business", not my normal "Real" job. Printing 2 full rolls of banners, going to about 40 different schools. The art is supplied -...
You can route it too - for awhile we only had the shitty dragknife on our CNC... So we routed sheet after sheet of Coro. It leaves the inside flute part, but if you set the ipm high enough it doesn't melt the Coro at all.
We then used a soldering iron and ran it across the edge of the Coro...

Check out this link, specifically the "How Does Surfactant on a Surface Affect Manufacturing Processes?" Section and the fee before it.
It talks about how all...
Here - Notice I said "wax like" substance, because I couldn't think of the name off the top of my head. It was all the surfactants in Windex that was an issue (According to our 3M Rep).
https://www.whatsinsidescjohnson.com/us/en/brands/windex/windex-original-glass-cleaner...
A quick Google search shows dozens of articles saying Windex has a wax substance to produce streak free windows.
https://thecelebtimes.com/does-windex-have-wax-in-it
Not official of course. But that's the problem... When I say Windex I'm sure I'm talking about a different Windex than you are...
While the amonia in Windex is bad... It's not the only problem.
It's the same reason you tell (or should) tell people not to get a car wash with wax before a vehicle install.
Windex has chemicals to make it streak free - it gives a waxy like substance and lessens the surface adhesion of the...
Around here they try to give the 26500 away for free. You cant buy heads.... Just Chinese ones, and they're garbage. The ink isn't as bad as the heads, but again you have to get aftermarket.
Other parts are just as scarce... So when it breaks down you end up being screwed.
I'd stay away...
Eh? OP wants a large format printer so he can print stuff at home... Likely as a side business.
What would a thermal printer that can print 6" do for him when he wants to print a poster or a banner?
What size film are you using?
When we need to do a join on glass and it's a wet apply... We always apply the panels with the true edge of the media - the. Wet apply / slide the true edge to the other true edge... And you should get a perfect butt join without having to do any cutting... Aside...
Keep in mind when the sp-300 came out the internet / forums weren't as common... So hearing about problems with them also wasnt as common.
Not to say they weren't better than the newer printers are - but just because you see a dozen post a out a printer being bad (out of thousands being sold)...
