Your pain isnt over yet! It took me awhile to get used to it. Now 9.5/10 times I can get it to read the barcode with no effort... There will always be one job thats a pain to read though... Once you get used to it, its a great system. This is graphtecs first foray into barcodes on their...
  2. Need Help FC9000 - Cutting Issues Barcode and Mark

Put your rollers as far apart as they can be - even if your media is smaller. Do a load at current position. Then open the clamp, move the wheels closer to your media and click continue. Move the head as far in the corner as you can , past the black box on the top and the side, and set that...
  3. Need Help FC9000 - Cutting Issues Barcode and Mark

What error does it give you? I find you should start half an inch to an inch above the black rectangle. Of course this only fixes the issue if your problem is it can't find the barcode to read it. If it scans it and the server isnt on, or setup properly it'll give a different error. It's...
  4. Need Help Reproduction Glass/Acrylic panel - how to reproduce

We do lots of 1 ups for screens. Sure, we love doing 1000, or 300,000 prints... But if the customer needs it and is willing to pay for the screen setup cost, well still do it. Especially for the air industry - they don't stock parts... So we get a box of 5-10 items, some being 3" in size...
  5. new question

Whats wrong with the arlon? We use 3M 180 MC, or 180CV3 to print / plot a lot. If you're cutting tiny letters it'lll always be a pain if you're using something with comply thats been printed though... the gummyness of overlam + the air release adhesive makes tiny intricate cuts a lot harder...
  6. powdercoat and vinyl

Most powder coats need a high tac vinyl as the powder coat is a LSE. You may be able to get away with a permanent vinyl... But we generally stick with high tac to be safe.
  7. Need Help Reproduction Glass/Acrylic panel - how to reproduce

Yes. We print super small stuff all the time. A lot of printers don't like it because after 2-3 prints the small text gets washed out from ink deposits and you have to clean the screen. But doing a one off, any printer should be able to do it easily. Look around for a local printer, bring in...
  8. Need Help Reproduction Glass/Acrylic panel - how to reproduce

Look for someone that does screen printing if you want smooth / non grainy prints. Have them do black > white > black. It'll be 100% opaque, way better than UV / latex. That's likely how it was printed before - sadly there aren't many screenprinting shops out there these days. We do a lot...

  11. Sprinter Decal

We use knifeless all the time with reflective, specifically 3m 580 / 780. Works great! Sounds like op just wants to print a decal such as "Jo Jo's handyman services, blah blah blah" and make it fit inside of the indent so you're not going over the hump? In that case a online template from pvo...
  12. Issue with first time doing wall decals

Are they freshly painted walls? You need to wait a month after painting, I've never seen it cause bubbles but it has flaked off before. Do you print with latex, or solvent? Did you wait for it to off gas if solvent?
  13. Printable vinyl wholesale cheap directly from China - is it real?

Laird had $100 rolls as well. I believe they have $150 rolls now .... Avery brand. Spicer's has GB vinyl - $125 for 54" or 60" rolls. It's ok for Coro signs... We use it when someone wants something more glossy than our flatbed.... Don't think I'd use it for anything else though
  14. What would you do?

Send them a bill to re-produce a brand new face for $1020, then another bill for $600 for you to travel and deliver it. Then Photoshop a doctor's bill for $2300 for an er visit because some dumbass dropped a sign on you and you fell. Follow up with a " want to call it a wash and say we're...
  15. Gaming Trailer Graphics

I have that, unfortunately it is still on you to make sure the image the upload is not copyrighted. Obviously if somebody uploads a Mario image that is very easy to tell that it is copyrighted, however if somebody uploads some drawing of some anime girl you know nothing about... Sometimes you...
  16. Polishing the edges of acrylic

Careful with a torch these days. Everyone is using 70/30 alcohol mix due to covid - we've done flame polished for years with no problems... All of a sudden the last 2 years the crazing has been really crazy, janitors have a bottle of 70/30 and tend to use it on everything. The below video is...
  17. Need Help Repeated Pattern Wallpaper set up help?

I dabbled in wallpaper for a bit. I'm guessing youre talking Etsy... Most people on there do 27" wide - a 26" Pattern and then 1" overlap. This is because most use 30" rolls... And that gives enough space for cutting marks. it works with any size width you want - When I did it, I'd have a...
  18. Printable vinyl wholesale cheap directly from China - is it real?

Goto Alibaba. To ship a skid it goes by sea. You have to deal with customs yourself, it takes a month... And if there's any quality issues, they'll tell you too bad. Vendors have more pull. Is it doable? Yes...I bought some reflective, paid like $200 to ship a box air and then $100 for a...
  19. ACM for parking signs

We work with a parking lot company here. They have a monopoly on 90% of the parking / tow away lots... So we print thousands upon thousands of parking signs a year. 75% of them are ACM - they pay for reflective anti graffiti, which is expensive ... ... Then use ACM instead of aluminum, when...
  20. Pantone / Adobe copyright issues

I don't see it hurting pantone much to be honest. Lets face it - the only people who use pantones are people in the business... the average household user doesn't use them, unless they walk into a business that does and then they end up selecting a pantone from that business's book. I despise...
