I've also had issues printing small objects for another client even when using photo and photo plus. Tiny details are needed to be clear and the material chosen just did not do the job. The crispness of the R came out as the quality the client is looking for.... soooo yea. sorry, not sorry :(

re-reading and I personally don't understand saving the PDF in RGB for print. LOL like I said, I always save my pdf/eps/ai files in cmyk. flexi asks if you'd like the printer to use spot colors. for onyx, I make PMS colors into spot colors.

might I also suggest checking out tutorials. if you're not going to take a class to learn how to use illustrator, you may be better off teaching yourself with tutorials and with trial and error. This sounds like a job we just did for a tech company. We had ours custom built by a company that builds tradeshow builds and just applied vinyl with dry erase lam over it.

General formulations has a floor specific vinyl with a floor specific anti-slip lam. We've successfully used a temporary vinyl not meant for floors (but this also depends on what kind of floors) for an event and had no issues... very important to use vinyl meant for it's use tho.. yknow...
