Phototex OPAS is what we use. There are different kinds (more removable, more permanent).. OPAS means Solvent and I print this on our Mutoh 1624. DO NOT get OPA as this is meant for Non-solvent printers. Learned this the hard way LOL
But be wary, some LOT# boxes tend to have something wrong...
LOL! Wasn't it region based? We're on the westcoast so we swooped on whatever it was they had left. Sorry if you're on this side toooo haha
We like GF for the most part.. If I stumble upon anything just as good but inexpensive, I'll try to remember to share. Good luck on your search!
if it isn't your rollers, maybe you need a "lead". we put a small piece of material that's the same thickness as the boards and start the laminate there.. then push both the lead and material through and voila!
^ PhotoTex is great for wall murals but if this is for your shop.. I'd go with something inexpensive. We bought a bunch of stock from Grimco when they took over Advantage and have just been using that for our shop (like optima optisolve). Giant a$$ murals too :)
But for our own clients, we use...
I think my boss has bought monkey strips! Like I said, I don't really install anymore so I'm kind of behind on my squeegee game. I bought my set of pink ones then... I focused more on printing LOL. Will definitely try to get the opportunity to use Monkey Strips if I can. Thanks!
yay! i''m glad it's useful to you. I've joined women's online communities for designers and creatives and all the wonderful helpful tools and tricks they've shared have been amazing! This one was like a mindexplosion for me. LOL
I use Flexi 12 with pretty much the same set up as you (but we also made my computer a super computer since I handle large files) and the only issue I really have is when the license renews, it tends to close on its own (or maybe it's me?). I've made good habits to save my files (like everyone...
I rarely install nowadays but I got a squeegee from a class and it's a gold squeegee (I think it's this cuz it looks exactly like it https://www.grafityp.co.uk/gold-squeegee-70050065)... what impressed me the most was what the instructor used instead of felt.. We thought it was Teflon but it was...
so just in case ya'll didn't know.. in newer versions of illustrator, there's a magnificent tool called "smooth tool" if you ever need to clean up a self made cut contour paths from a crappy image. you'll probably have to use this in conjunction with other tools but it's definitely been helpful!
Epson s70675. I think we have switched from high and low. Yes, we do use the edge clamps.
See response up regarding humidity. This seems most likely as SF is pretty humid.
It's been a loonnnnggg time since I've fired it up but I will need to try again soon. Boss is looking to sell it.
I'm curious to know if everyone experiencing this have clients that are more older or younger.
For us, I would say it's a mix of both but the older peeps demand whereas the younger ones (my age or younger) are more forgiving and understanding. Though the older ones are the ones that take longer...
Thanks! we don't use "cheap or old" material... Like we've used avery, oracal, and the likes and they're fairly new rolls. Hmmm it makes me wonder if it is humidity then cuz yes, it does get pretty humid here (someone believed it doesn't and tried to argue with me about it.. they were definitely...
Do you guys ever have ANY issues with scuffing? It seems that no matter what I did, I ALWAYS ended up with scuffs. I'd make sure to put the material on the take up nice and taught and always cleaned the damned thing before each use but no matter what, it would scuff. We did one job where there...
ooohwee don't think I can tell you what they are but they look like something you can find on TheHungryJpeg.com
Hopefully someone can identify these for you!
A friend has been doing Keto diet on and off for the past year or so and I definitely see a difference in his weight.
I noticed I was getting a little chunky and need to exercise a bit more. BF got me a fitbit to keep track of my steps and exercise and I keep track of my meals via My Fitness...
wooop my boss just had a rep over and we talked about the R series.
They're coming out with one that's smaller (similar in size as the FB550) with a more appealing price range.
He gave us samples of substrate and static cling with white ink and I'm so impressed!
We also got a sample printed on...
ooh! how funny that that was a problem. I had a bad magenta once that said it was empty but it was clearly full!
that really sucks about auto maintenance. plz update for future reference :) I hope you get it fixed soon!
As a person who is probably half or a third of most of everyone's age here and only a week of me being fairly active.... this is a comment I agree with the most. and this time I didn't have to say it :p
/throws some kindling in the fire, roasts some marshmallows, and eats some popcorn. :p
