But when a client says a colour must match a Pantone I say look it will be pretty close in CMYK.
If you want us to match closer and send a proof it will be $50.

With Onyx you can either select a Pantone colour or scan a sample, then print a swatch with variations of that colour and pick the closest match.
The problem with HP is they are great at marketing but haven't done anything to fix inherent issues with their machines.
Roll fed UV printers have the potential to knock latex off it's perch because they can offer colour repeatability, faster speeds, low heat curing and consistent length.

A latex would be perfect for art canvases.
We did the occasional canvas with our 360s and the print quality, gamut and scratch resistance were perfectly acceptable.
We got our 1650 last week and ran 4 rolls through it the first day.
I haven't really tested what speeds it can be run at on various media yet so just used quality which is still way quicker than the 360s it replaced.
