Yes, but like mleg1972 said, is the print carriage locked in position? It is touchy to get locked into place. You have to move very slowly until you hear a "click". Then do the LPI. John

I'd like to hear from any members that have used 3M print 40C extensively. I like the idea of a versatile film I can use on floors, box trucks, signs etc. I'm wondering if anyone has had any specific trouble with the film as far as durability or failures.Thanks, John

Sounds like a great deal. Did you do a test print from the console? That would show you if the heads are firing correctly and if there is any clogging or defections. If she left the printer plugged in it should be doing its periodic cleanings.John

I did. At 18in you should have some space on both sides of the design unless you want to run it off the door edge and into the window.:)

Never say never. You are always going to wish you bought a larger cutter. Go with at least a 54in if it's in the budget. Check to see if anyone has good used or demo equipment if you can't justify new. You'll need it if you want to maximize your print cut options with the HP 315.John
