  1. Cutting ACM... the right way, the cleanest way...

Yup, we have a Dewalt track saw and it virtually cuts all materials in our shop - PVC, dibond, acrylic, coro, anything. And its always straight and always a factory finish on the edge. *Just purchases a 4x8 CNC table, so will be able to do more intricate stuff with that, can't wait!
  2. Keencut substrate cutter

OK, couple lookers, no takers. Last price drop $500.00/obo - if it doesn't sell in a week I'll list it on ebay, need it gone! Thanks!

  4. Cut Work Table or Rollsroller?

Yup, we bought a CWT 1640 with all the bells and whistles a year ago. We use it everyday for mounting and laminating - it has become an indispensable tool at our shop and I couldn't imagine not having one now.
  5. Recommendation for Printing Ceiling Mural (4,000sq/ft)

Yeah, this would be my concern. I recently bid on a project where they originally wanted to do the ceiling (3500 SF) and I talked them out of it. I am sure it can be done, but man, what a PITA. Even with a scissor lift, I can imagine it would be a struggle to get it all on there. Not sure...
  6. Keencut substrate cutter

Price drop - $750.00 lets get it out of here and in a new home!!! :)
  7. summa opus reader question

Definitely sounds like something isn't reading correctly, or maybe the eye is damaged or not aligned? Usually when ours fails to read it's because there is dust/dirt around the eye, or someone has loaded the material backwards or something silly like that and it can't find the marks because...
  8. summa opus reader question

I guess it depends on which Summa you have - our D140 "eye" looks totally different than your pic.
  9. Transporting a Mutoh Valuejet 1324X?

Its a metal bracket and bolt - kind of L-shaped, attaches on the back of the carriage/head and bolts near the platen. If they can't find the bracket, several strips of masking tape or duct tape should keep everything in place. 6 hours should be no problem - if you close at 5pm and turn the...
  10. Opinions for new laminator needed - interested in one with take-up...

I have been very happy with our USTECH AK-600 laminator over the past 5-6 years. It has run hundreds of rolls of laminate through it, but I am wanting to upgrade. I've been really interested in the machines that have the take-up system on them like a printer does, and offer either electric or...
  11. Keencut substrate cutter

Selling our Keencut Excalibur - I believe this is the 1000 series, will take substrates up to 63" wide. Has the standard cutting head as well as the metal cutting head parked at the top. The standard head will cut materials like foam board, PVC, styrene, coroplast, etc. The metal cutting head...
  12. Mutoh vj1614 magenta print problems

You're very welcome - glad it wasn't anything more serious!
  13. SIGNS365.com - is destroying my reputation and costing me $$

I use 365 mostly for oversized banners and large orders of yard signs - we also use Signs2trade. Both have done a great job, but I think there was one occasion where a snaffu happened a few years back with 365, but they were very accommodating and made it right in the end. However, like any...
  14. Mutoh Valuejet 1614 IP address

As long as the IP address is set on the printer and you are matching it exactly on the computer, it "should" show up on the network with a ping. If you are certain the ethernet cable isn't the problem there might be a chance you have a bad network port on the printer?
  15. Mutoh vj1614 magenta print problems

WIthout knowing more, it almost sounds like a damper issue - when is the last time those have been changed? Over time dampers can clog with sediment/pigment particles from the ink. I would also check to make sure there are no air bubbles in your magenta lines that might indicate an air leak...
  16. Price check

We'd be $160.00/panel plus permit and installation + artwork if necessary. (3mm poly-metal, 3M 40C with UV laminate) Slightly more for Alumacor or similar composite board
  17. Boy did I screw up today

Yes, we have a D140 and its a great machine - but unless you have a flatbed cutting table doing runs of decals that long is just asking for trouble. We try to keep everything under 5-6' unless absolutely necessary. We have done 10-12' and maybe longer runs, but you want to slow the speed...
  18. Rolls roller or CWT table?

Wow, this thread is a blast from the past. OK, let me give a brief follow up on our purchase and my opinion on the table... 1. The table has worked flawlessly and is used every day by each of my 3 employees. Couldn't be happier with the purchase - it was quite a bit more expensive than I...
  19. Need Help Mutoh 1614 from OCE 9160

If I recall, there was a thread on this a few years ago, the simple answer is no. It can be done - but it requires you to buy Mutoh brand main boards to do it and swap out, you can't just flash the boards in that printer back to Mutoh code/programming - so probably not worth the cost or...
